Welcome to Academy of Adventure.

AoA is located on a world called Molior, which was set upon by darkness in which the Goddess watching over it released her powers to all the living things so that they may defend themselves against it. The darkness started to seep into the planet and turned many against their loved ones. The world ended up splitting into two types of people, those who embraced Kae (magic users) and those who rejected it as evil and embraced machines (steampunk). The founders, Nyr, Gwendolyn and Ceruleann who were born of the Goddess created the academy to bring peace and balance to the torn planet, the war ravaged the surface thus forcing them to relocate the Academy high in the sky. Hence the name, Ad Astra. The Academy encourages learning about both Kae and Machinery.

One of Mollies ears flopped low in disbelief with a doubtful expression.

"Are you sure? My alchemist is pretty amazing!" She nodded knowingly.

Hans

"Reaaally?" Hans highly doubted that there would be an alchemist just as talented. "
I'd like to see that! Tell me, what school does your alchemist hail from?"
Truthfully the school didn't matter, but it was a matter of pride to see if this was a rival from the past or some new upstart.

"My alchemist was privately tutored by THE greatest alchemist in the world." of which whom Mollie had never actually met but O-la had told her plenty about him.

Hans

She looks like a girl in love when she says that. So full of pride. Hans laughed.
"So this alchemist must be lover, right? You speak so highly of him and they say love blinds you from their faults."
He knew that from experience. Heart wrenching experience.

Mollies long ears raise slightly.
What would be the best manner to describe her and O-la's relationship of several years? Lovers? No, that wasn't right... friends? Probably not adequate enough...

Sisters? Mollie nodded to herself. That fit exactly.

"Sisters, actually."

Hans

A woman? A freaking woman?! Alchemy is a man's science! When did a woman infiltrate it? This is most.....
intriguing
"A lady alchemist? My, that's bold."
Bold is not even the word to describe this. Manly pride aside, no alchemist would train a woman because of the social constraints. Whoever she is, she's got pull.....
and a number one fan...

Her left ear twitched. What could be so odd about a female alchemist?
(Aside from the fact that O-la was the only one she knows personally.)
Mollie was slightly perturbed.
"What do you mean?"

Hans

"You don't see many ladies worth merit or mention amongst the ranks of alchemy. After all, alchemy is a man's science. I'm very surprised to hear of a woman with such mastery over my art."
Surprised, and very interested. What kind of woman is this girl's sister?

It couldn't be that odd, she thought. Maybe this particular alchemist was very sheltered.

The answer was obvious enough.

"You should probably get out more."

Hans

Cheeky.
"Maybe I should..." He leaned back in his chair a little farther.
"I might meet your master alchemist" He laid the sarcasm on pretty thick. He meant nothing against this woman, but a challenge is a challenge.

Irked, Mollies tail frizzed up at the sarcasm. She happens to be extremely protective of O-la and this was borderline insulting her.

Her eyes narrow, as if daring him to continue along that particular road.

Hans

As if sensing trouble brewing beneath the surface, Hans instantly shifted gears. It would not do to insult his companion nor her 'sister'. After all, he initially didn't mean any disrespect.
"I do apologize if I have offended you. It is merely an alchemist's chauvinism. A rather stubborn part of my upbringing and I meant no harm."

Mollie relaxed again, content that his apology was quite sincere. Especially since he didn't know...
With an accepting nod, she clarifies.
"It's well enough. I would prefer you to not condemn her abilities in Alchemy so fast due to merely her gender. After all, the founders of Ad Astra themselves declared her to be a Master."

Hans

Ad Astra? The floating school? How very intriguing..
"My, my... The founders of Ad Astra declared her master. Those masters of the Floating Isle know their stuff."
He looks at her intently.
"I may have found a rival in your sister."

Mollie froze as she realized what she said.

It had slipped, like O-la, the academy wasn't overly well known. Like anything else that was surrounded by mystery, Ad Astra did have several rumors about it's existence. Yet, if you did know of it, you knew how extremely prestigious it was to get in.

This alchemist, he apparently knew of Ad Astra before hand. He acted neither shocked or surprised.

"You know of Ad Astra?"
