Board Rules: A.GENERAL BEHAVIOUR 1.No spamming 2.Respect everybody’s opinion. You don’t have to agree with it, but respect it. Everyone has a right to his/hers own opinion. Specially respect the opinion of the members of the Administrator Staff. 3.Don`t insult any of the members. We all come from different countries and different places, so we are all in a way “unique”. 4.If you disagree with a certain member or if you think that he is doing something against the rules, don’t deal with it by yourself. Contact the Administrator Staff and they will solve it. 5.Don`t try to “force” something. For an example: if you have made a request towards the Administrator Staff or posted an application, and they haven’t responded to it, don’t spam your topic and post “every minute” trying to get the AS attention. If they are not responding to your request that means that they are taking it into consideration and they will respond once they come to an agreement. Forcing them to make a premature agreement can result in denial of your request. B.POSTING 1. Don’t make post that have no meaning and don’t go out of cannon or mission parameters. Also, before posting your own post, read what other players posted, and see if they have tagged you. Being tagged by someone means that the person wants you to continue your post on his, so that you can either finish on what he started in the post or tag him again. 2. Keep your posts fairly clean, non-offending and ALWAYS respect the Chain of Command. If the Captain is unavailable during the mission the command position falls to his Executive Officer (Commander) etc. Also if you are a member of a certain department (for example Security, Engineering) don’t go over the department XO and CO. You can’t start an action without their approval. Same goes for XO`s of the departments. You can’t go over your CO. The only possibility when you can do that, when both your CO and XO are not available, and you are next in line. 3. Don’t kill, offend any character and don’t make orders on your own. Respect the Chain of Command. In Away Missions if you are the Mission Leader, then you decide what is best for the crew, but beware; your actions can affect other characters. 4. Talk to every character. Get to know him. Don’t make fun of him, but try to meet him in some way. He is your crewmember after all, or even your Superior Officer. 5. Don’t offend anyone by your posts or your actions. Everyone has a right on his own opinion. You can make a objection on someone’s action but only through proper authorities. (Read the ship Command Staff) 6. Before starting a post put =ON= and then start posting. You all saw this type of posting but just to remember. You can use third or first person in your posts, and you can also you the "conversational" mode in your posts. Remember to put =ON= before you start your post and =OFF= when you end it. If you want to tag a certain member, making him to write the next post, put <Tag> at the end of your post. For Out of Character notes, put =OOC= at the end of the post. Additional Note: I know this will be a bit harsh, but please and try to post AT LEAST twice a week, to make the missions goes faster instead of coming to a dead end, and to make things more interesting. If you however can’t post for some reason, please put your remark in the Leaves of Absence topic. 7.If you want to use a subplot for your character, or if you have agreed with some members to make a subplot for a group of characters that goes along the main plot of the mission, always ask the Administrator Staff members to allow you to use your subplot. If they allow it, you can do it, if not, don’t go over them and use it anyway, as that will result in your suspension. C.APPLICATIONS & BIOS 1.In your application make a good character. A medium size bio is needed (the Application format will be a bit short, but you will be asked to make a bio in the next 7-10 days after you get accepted). Don’t make a character that already exists, but make your own. Put the appropriate avatar and signature in your profile. If you don’t know how to do that, contact me via PM! 2.We accept both “canon” and “non-canon” Star Trek universe species. Canon means those who have been seen or mentioned in the series and movies, while non-canon refers to those who have been mentioned in various ST novels and books. If you want to use a non-canon species for your character, you must provide the AS with the link that has the info on your species. After someone has seen the info from the AS, they will decide on your application. 3.Although we accept non-canon species, fan made species are generally not allowed. So no fan made hybrids or something like that. 4. Don’t make a super hero out of your character. We are all mortals. That means we don’t accept someone who puts in his application that he is an Organian, an Augment, or that he is almost 2000 years old, thus being immortal. It’s more fun when you know that your character could die someday. 5. After you have posted your application and the AS has accepted it, use your imagination when you write a bio for your character. Add some depth to your character. What he likes, what dislikes…hobbies etc. Don’t make fun of your character in your bio. In some way that person is your alter ego. So use imagination and make a decent character. Everyone once in a while, after a couple of missions have been completed, update your bios with the infro on what your character achieved in the past few months. Past few months in RP of course. D. SECONDARY ACCOUNTS & CHARACTERS If you want, you can register as many charachters you think you can play. But one of them has to be your “major” character, while the other ones are only “sidekicks.” For your other characters, if you don’t want to, you don’t have to make a large bio. A decent application will do. On the other hand, if you want that one of your “sidekicks” replaces your “major” character in the future (for example you plan to kill your major character or make him disappear for a couple of missions) then make a medium sized bio and develop your other character. When you want to register another account and another character, put your “major” characters name in it. For example: at the bottom of the page put “This is Commander Grant’s second/third/fourth character. The Administrator staff must approve all multiple account and character registrations. If you are denied for some reason, then respect it. The AS members will explain their decision to you, and maybe in the end you will be allowed to have another character. But if you decide to “push it” and protest, you risk suspension. E.SIGNATURE GUIDELINE Your signature that is below your personal profile should contain the following: The rank of your character and yours characters name. (Full name and surname if he has one) Your position onboard the ship/starbase. (Note: if you are having a secondary character that is a guest star or a Player Controlled Character, name his position) Name of the ship. And the sign Shadow Amazon Fleet. You can also use pictures in your signature, but please don’t make them too big. And nothing offensive. Your signature must be in the colour of your department. That goes as followed: Red- Command & Helm Orange/Gold- Security, Operations, Engineering Teal- Science, Medical, Counselling Gray- Intelligence, Covert Ops (They are black in "reality" but it won`t be seen good on our skin, so use gray instead) Green-Marines Purple-Diplomatic Officers Blue-Cadets on Assingment If you have a character that is for instance a bartender or chef, your signature can be left in a black (default)colour F.GOD MODING 1. All actions have a reaction, or consequences. 2. A player must RP these consequences. 3. If a player does not RP the consequences accurately, or fails to do so altogether, a mod or admin will do it for them. 4. Also, I'm afraid to say, bad things happen - you will not always have a happy ending. FINAL NOTE: The rules mentioned above may sound harsh, but once you adapt to them it will be okay. You don’t have to follow them “blindly” but don`t try and use the good will and good intentions of the Administrator Staff. And one more thing…. The last and MOST IMPORTANT RULE: HAVE FUN!!!!! Don’t post because you have to, but because you want to, and add imagination in your posts. Don’t go over the mission’s parameters too much, but use your imagination. |
