I put this on my DA account, (Leedude165) So don't say I stole it from anyone cause I made it. -------- The boy sat in the tiny warehouse, looking out the large window at the full moon. It was a quiet night, but the boy didn’t seem to notice. Tears ran down his face in small streaks, letting the moon shine of him ever so slightly. The pale boy was no older than ten, but he wore clothes fit for a street rat. His blue eyes shined in the moonlight as he sat on one of the many boxes in the warehouse. The door a few meters behind him opened, revealing another, much older boy. He was 16 with hazel eyes and brown hair, but he looked much tougher than the little boy. A small scar ran across his left cheek, which wasn’t clearly visible in the moonlight. “What’s up?” The sixteen year old walked over to the smaller boy and patted him on the head. “You know you aren’t supposed to be here. If you got caught there wouldn’t be anyone that could help ya.” The brown haired boy smiled as he let go of the blond boy’s hair. “Sorry sir.” The blond boy wiped the tears from his eyes with his dirty sleeve. “Hey Billy, there isn’t any reason for the sorry. You need to be tough now, you understand? And call me Jet; I hate all that official stuff.” Billy looked up at the leader, and smiled slightly. “I was thinking of my parents.” Jet silently acknowledged the boy with a nod as he stared up at the full moon. “Do you remember your parents, Jet?” Billy asked hesitantly. Jet must have been in a good mood to not be kicking or yelling like he usually is. Of course, you kind of have to be that way when you hang out in a group like this. “I barely remember them at all to tell you the truth. They were there one day and the next… They were just gone, y’know?” That’s the way it was with all their parents, ever since that new law was passed it was hard for parents to keep kids like them around. “Of course you know I started this rebellion to protect kids like us.” Jet said, fixated on the moons glow as he spoke. “The blades, y’know? They ruined our lives, and yet they’re the most loved gift we could ever have.” Billy looked up at Jet once more. “You mean you have one too?” The blond boy seemed slightly confused. Jet chuckled a little. “You don’t know that’s why your apart of this group?” Billy shook his head. “I don’t even understand why people hate us.” Jet exhaled moved a hand through his hair. A blade in the shape of a key appeared in his hand, it was a combination of red and black, but it held in a comforting glow. “People hate us because they’re scared. They don’t understand the blades and their powers. So instead of changing for us, they call us outcasts and throw us out on the street. After that, the only way to live is to steal; and you get the picture from there.” Jet looked down at the blond boy, who finally had some understanding in his eyes. “What’s yours?” The older boy asked as a blade appeared in a flash of neon green in the younger boy’s hand. It was a traditional gunblade, but it held a bright green glow in the center of its metal. “Nice. I haven’t seen a gunblade in this group for a long time, and the last guy who had one was a great fighter.” Jet smiled at the boy. “He looked a lot like you too.” The older boy punched him gently in the arm as the warehouse door burst open, causing dust to fly up in a cloud in two directions. “Jet!” A girl in all grey raggedy clothes shouted through the door. “The police are here!” “What, who told them about this base?!” Jet’s commander voice snapped into action, which surprised the small boy sitting next to him. “We’re not sure sir. All we know is we are surrounded except for the back exit!” The girl explained as she remained at the door. “Crap. Okay, get our finest fighters out in the front of that building. I want all the children who can’t fight or assist out of the building ASAP. Got it memorized?” The girl turned and ran out of the warehouse, shouting Jet’s orders to a giant base. Jet turned back to the blond boy. “That means you too.” He said in his gentle voice as he ran out of the gray warehouse. Billy quickly followed behind him. The base was huge for a kid’s rebellion. It was as big as two airplane hangars, but held hundreds of kids and boxes of supplies. It was all gray, like the rest of the world during this time. The only light came from florescent lamps, far from the floor. If a bulb went out, it took days to change. Normally, it would be a nice place. But now kids of all ages from up to 18 to as young as 7 years old were running in different directions, all trying to follow their orders before the imminent arrival of the police. The back exit was crowded by children attempting to leave, while all three entrances were blocked by the fighters of the group. They were all huddled around Jet, listening to his orders. “Alright, we’ve expected this day. Some of us have even been through it before. We get an estimate of 500 police out there. Remember, we are just distracting! If we wanted to kill them, we could have done that a long time ago!” The last line resulted in shouts from some of the tougher fighters. “Try not to kill them, even if they don’t do the same for you. You don’t want murder on your record if you ever get caught. Understand?” Everyone nodded or responded with ‘yes sir’. “Good. Now, let’s have some fun.” The speech got all kinds of shouting and blades of all sort appearing in the fighters’ hands. Billy looked at Jet as he ran to the back exit. He may be able to fight, but the police were tough, and he was following orders. He waited in the groups in front of the exit at first, but found the process way to slow. He eventually began pushing his way through the crowd and out into the open area behind the base. There were a few fighters that were guarding this area, just in case the police got this far. Billy ran and jumped the fence that the assistants were leading them to. He then followed the rest of the kids into a long dark tunnel that apparently led to some sort of safety. Jet stood at the middle entrance, one keyblade in each hand. In his right hand was his normal red and black blade. In his left hand sat a white and blue keyblade. A tear fell from his face onto the white and blue blade, which made it shine in the gray warehouse. “I’ll keep my promise, Marxie. No death today.” Jet looked back up at the door and struck his two keyblades together to make a high pitched screech. He repeated this over and over and eventually others picked up on the beat. Soon the clashing of metal could be heard by the police force just outside. The group was ready to defend. As the doors opened on each side Jet shouted. “Let’s do this!!” He charged forward, causing all the other fighters to charge after him. The police moved forward, shields and stun sticks at the ready. Their goal was to take these kids alive, were they could rot their lives away in prison for there crimes, but more importantly for being who they are. The police no longer had guns, since the law of 2070, guns killed more people than necessary. Physical attacks would do just fine for dealing with criminals, because no one had guns anymore. It was beginning. 100 fighters vs. 500 police members. Jet felt those odds were better than the previous 50 vs. 1000. That meant each fighter only had to knock out 5 to win this battle. Jet rushed forward and knocked away a police shield with one blade, and struck at the SWAT member with the other blade, knocking the policeman out. Other fighters followed suit, some succeeding, some getting a stun sticks in their gut. The clash of the forces lasted for a few minutes. Jet only got hit by a stun stick once, but he was so used to the pain by now he merely shook it off. Although individual fighters seemed to be doing well, overall it became apparent ‘the law’ had the upper hand. A badly beaten girl fell to the ground; a police officer with a nice gash across his face was about to strike her while on the ground, weapon out of reach. Just as the cop struck, Jet appeared in the way, using the white and blue keyblade, the one he deemed ‘Oathkeeper’, to block off the officer as he used his other blade to knock him back. Jet could now see the number of people still able to fight on each side, it was apparent they were losing. “Fall back!!” The brown haired boy barked at the remaining forces. He quickly helped the injured girl up and ran back to the base with her. Seconds after he entered the base, the doors slammed behind him. “Status report.” Jet shouted out to one of the assistants. “About 50% have made it sir.” Jet cursed under his breath, and moans were heard from all the other fighters. “What are they doing back there?” Jet asked as if he didn’t know as the police rammed the door. Jet cursed again, a bit louder that time. The police finally broke through the doors, it seemed like their efforts to lock it were not good enough. “Freeze!” A young man, somewhere in his 20’s stepped out of the police group holding two black gunblades. “Jeremy?” Jet openly questioned the old group commander. “That’s right Jet. I got out of the slammer early for agreeing to bring you down. Isn’t it like old times?” The traitor questioned with an evil smile. “Old times that have been long gone!” Jet shouted back. “Oh, is that Marxie’s keyblade?” Jeremy had just noticed the Oathkeeper Jet was holding. “You miss her don’t you?” The commander questioned as if talking to a small child. “Shut up!!!” Jet ran forward with blinding speeds and struck downward with both his and Marxie’s blade. “Pathetic.” Was the last word uttered. ---------- That was the story. I wrote the sqeuel, but I dont think I'll put it up. I based Jet off our very own KE. He may be a little too soft to be KE, but I tryed. Note: I made all the characters except for Marxie(who belongs to bunbun369). But keyblades and gunblades are © of SquareEnix. Oh yeah, and Nowhere Kids is not based off the song. It may sound similar, but I didn't mean it to. C&C would be awesome! Thanks! Created by Rock Lee The Hero, recovered by ~*KE*~ |
