Skin Battle Guidelines

When starting a skin battle, please use these guidelines.

Explanations:

Headcount: The maximum number of participants.
Color Scheme or Theme: Red, Red and white, Summer colours or Film themed etc.
Buttons/Markers needed?: Buttons, markers, emotes, pips etc.
If needed, self-made?: Do they need to be made by the skinner, or can they ask someone else to make them instead?
Are premade skins allowed?: Self-explanatory
Start of the voting date: Please give an exact date, (eg. 12 Jan) no more than three weeks in the future.

Thanks for using these guidelines, they make everyone's lives easier.


Extra:

There are some extra specialised rules for the battle arena, and they are as follows:

  1. This is a competitive forum (in case you hadn't noticed) and there's nothing wrong with this. However, this does not give you the right to break the main TOS of the board. This means no flaming so try to have some respect for other people's feelings.
  2. Going along with the point above, having respect for other's feelings means no cheating. Don't persuade your friends to vote for you, and don't register extra accounts so you can gain a few extra votes for your skin.
  3. The person who starts the topic and declared the battle guidelines is acting as the host for that battle. If you want to ask a question about the guidelines, they are the person to ask.
  4. If you have submitted a skin to the battle but want to change the skin you submitted, you must first consult the battle host. They may or may not allow you to change your skin, and you must respect their decision.
  5. You may pull out of a battle completely without first asking the hosts permission if you wish (although it is frowned upon).
  6. Minor edits of a submitted skin (changing text colour, skinning the portal having forgotten to before) are permitted without first consulting the host.
  7. After the poll has gone up, the first skin to 10 votes or the skin with the most votes after 24 hours wins (whichever comes first).

Hosts can add a poll within a week of posting up the battle. If a week has already passed and you no longer have that ability, of if you don't know how to add a poll, please PM a member of the Skin Team with the link to your topic.
