Okay friends, I've been so busy updating my fics that I almost forgot about this thread. So, to make things quick and simple, here's my Celtic Moon calender for anyone who's interested.Rowan Moon Jan 21-Feb 17 Ash Moon Feb 18-Mar 17 Alder Moon Mar 18-Apr 14 Willow Moon Apr 15-May 12 Hawthorn Moon May 13-Jun 9 Oak Moon Jun 10-Jul 7 Holly Moon Jul 8-Aug 4 Hazel Moon Aug 5-Sept 1 Vine Moon Sept 2-Sept 29 Ivy Moon Sept 30-Oct 27 Reed Moon Oct 28-Nov 24 Elder Moon Nov 25-Dec 23 Birch Moon Dec 24-Jan 20 So, there we go. Pretty cool, huh? I also dug out my records of past blue moons, and here's what I found. The last blue moon (where I live anyway) occurred December 31st, 2009. Before that June 28th, 2007. And before that July 31st, 2004. So I guess it's about every two/two and a half years or so. Roughly around that time, give or take a few months. I think the next one might be around 2011/2012. And for the last two nights I've been outside my night has been interupted by stinking skunks blasting off their rotten stench somewhere in my neighborhood... Major P.U.! I like the night, but not when it's invaded by skunks! |

I'm so glad you guys are enjoying this thread of mine. I'll dig out a different moon calender of mine later for everyone. You know, a fun thing I like to do is look up the month I was born in and see what type of moon I was born under. An example would be if you're born in August, you were born under the Hazel moon. Try it out sometime. |

Alrighty everyone, time for some more fun moon facts. ![]() The ancient pagans gave a name to each full moon that occurred every month. Here's my list of moon names that the pagan people use. And again, it's fun to see which type of full moon there was during the month you were born. January-Cold Moon February-Quickening Moon March-Storm Moon April-Wind Moon May-Flower Moon June-Strong Sun Moon July-Blessing Moon August-Corn Moon September-Harvest Moon October-Blood Moon November-Mourning Moon December-Long Nights Moon I like to combine the different types of names from both lists. Lets see, Yellow Mew was born in August. So that makes him a hazel corn baby! That sounds both funny and cute. |

All of these plants and trees are starting to remind me of characters from the Pokemon series. Like Professor Oak and Professor Elm.

It's going on 6:30 pm where I am right now. I'm just waiting for it to get dark because I love sitting on the swing on my front porch in the light of the full moon while I check out this site. Ahh...so beautiful... The night time really is one of the rare things in life that makes me happy. ![]() But there are way too many skunks where I live! For like five or six nights now I've been run off from skunk stink. I was out here on the porch a few nights ago and a skunk ran past and let a rip. Oh the stink!! I'm just trying to update my fics under the moon and look out here it comes. I also hear a lot of owls out here that keep me company. At least they don't stink. And recently, a little grey fox has been coming by around three in the morning and drinking from my bird bath. So cute! I love little foxes. :td: |

I love the night. It's the best time for watching anime. :3 Why doesn't this DVD have the Head-Cha-La opening on it!? >.< Curse you FUNimation! Oh well, they'll probably release the Dragon Box version for all the movies sooner or later. At the moment, it just seems a little strange to have a movie opening with Piccolo screaming... :/ Edit: Okay, so Head-Cha-La's actually in the second scene. It's been so long since I last saw this movie... Either way, the DVD menu has a bit of the Faulconer track. Ick! >.<Edit 2: The video quality is terrible... absolutely terrible. All of the grain! The grain! Argh! Where's the Dragon Box release for this! Make it next year at the latest FUNi! |

I've decided to post this info here for JoAnne (and anyone else battling insomnia). Yes, I love the night. But not everyone enjoys staying up late like I do. So I've borrowed another one of Silver Star's books with some tips on how to get a better night's sleep. Step 1:Charms for good sleep Placing a bowl of white rose petals beside your bed creates calm energy Lighting a blue candle in your room for a few minutes before bed cleanses the room of negative energy Suspending a white feather over your bed promotes peace A clove of garlic under your bed adsorbs negative energy and fears Rose quartz placed under your pillow promotes well-being and restfulness The scent of lavender relaxs the body, so a lavender scented candle lit for a few minutes before bed can be soothing and ease tension from the body Jade is known as 'the dreamer's stone' and calms nerves when placed under the pillow An amethyst crystal under your pillow protects from nightmares, as do rubies as well ( )An image of an angel in your bedroom carries blessings of restful dreams and spiritual protection while sleeping A picture of a dove in your bedroom promotes a peaceful atmosphere in your room White roses, chamomile, and lavender make an excellent sleep-inducing potpourri Sachets made of cotton material or silk and filled with lavender can be used as a pillow, as the scent can encourage restful sleep |
