Is the word "ChristoPaganism" unfamiliar to you? I bet it is. Recently, I've been hearing about people who are both Christians and Witches. I'm not exactly sure how that can be possible... These people call themselves "ChristoPaganists." What do you guys have to say about this? I myself am rather confused by the whole topic.Another thing I'd like to discuss is witchcraft. Lets get one thing straight, starting with Ruby's yaoi fics. *bursts into laughter* I'm just kidding! lmfao Okay seriously, lets get one thing straight-I hate sterotyping all people who pratice witchcraft as devil worshippers. I don't care who you are, sterotyping people is just plan stupid and wrong. I'm a Christian, and even I think people who practice witchcraft DO NOT always worship the devil. So, would anyone else like to share their thoughts on this? |

I've been to Glastonbury where they have a lot of "Magik" shops. I'd have to do some research, but I think that modern witches (maybe they are the same as pagans, the people who worshipped at Stonehenge, I don't know) are the ones who use charms, study chakra healing, etc. Take the "Good Witch" concept from the Wizard of Oz, and mix it with the concept of Chi. That's my impression, but I know hardly anything about them. I'm pretty sure that most of them DON'T worship the Devil, so being both Witch and Christian should be pretty easy. Very funny joke, btw!

i don't think pagans are devil worshippers generally, they're more likely to be atheists. conventional christianity and paganism are however entirely incompatible. in the Bible it is frequently stated that God is jealous, and that if people want omething from God they should pray, and not consult with mediums/ spiritualists/claivoyents/occult of any kind, because they are not of God. i think using healing crystals/charms comes under that. mediums are not depicted positively in the Bible. they are described as decieving people by calling up demons who imitate the dead loved ones of their customers. so basiclly a part of the christian faith is to reject any other kind of higher powers. not that i'm saying thats what people have to do. im just saying what a priest/bishop/pope would tell you |

I've only known one person in my life who was both Christian and a Witch, and she's always been a very nice person who was never into any satan worship or anything bad like that. I think there are some general misconceptions about Witches and Pagans, mainly set up from ancient times where they were portayed as evil by people of other faiths, merely because the Christian newcomers wanted their beliefs to be the most popular and do away with the older beliefs. I learned a lot from reading The DaVinci Code. I'm a very open minded person, so I accept people of all faiths. I think it would do everyone some good if we were all atleast a little bit open minded enough to do some research and find out what these people really do before jumping to conclusions. I myself like studying chakra healing with crystals, herbs, and ancient healing traditions, but that doesn't automatically make me evil or bad. I'm into studying any and all ways to heal people and cure diseases, and I like to expand my knowledge by seeing how many different things I can learn from as many different places and people that I can. Besides, chakras and ki are main things used in DBZ. So I can't pass that up! I believe that knowledge is power. When we have it, we are less inclined to reduce others to mere stereotypical forms. And then we can see others for who they are inside, rather then what they've been painted to look like on the outside by others. I know this is a fact, because I'm goth and many people have the wrong idea about me because of it. I know how it feels to be hurt by people who only see me as a stereotypical goth girl, which is one reason why I prefer to be kind to everyone so they don't have to feel like I have. |

I actually set next to one of these people on my bus last year. She was rather... unusual to say the least. She had pretty bad cases of ADD and MPD, so that probably contributes to it. As for Ruby using "ki" and "chakras," I'm honestly inclined to think that sort of stuff is real. I think there's some sort of life force the body has and that we can tap into it to an extent. |

Talking about "life force" and things like that, on telly I watched a Xaolin warrior (I think) punch through concrete without feeling pain or damaging their hand. They were in an extremely focused state of mind and, apparently, surrounded their hand in ki, but I have absolutely no idea whether to contribute acts like this to "ki" or known physics and psychology. Through a type of meditation, you can relax all of your muscles one by one (try it if you can, it's really interesting to feel yet you're still controlling it). My current guess is that humans have more control over their bodies than they think (or normally use) rather than having an undiscovered form of energy. Still, we can't rule anything out. Don't see things like energy blasts happening.

Oh my God, you really think so too, Kiyza?? I have always believed that as well. That's the second reason why I study that sort of thing, in an attempt to prove that it is real and possible to do atleast to some extent. I've read so many books on things like that. I convinced that the way Dende heals people is nothing more than an advanced form of Reiki. And though I haven't figured out how to fire ki attacks yet, I'm pretty sure that I once accidently shot small sparks from my fingertips when I was really mad. ^^; *nervous laugh* I know, sounds crazy right? I'm more than willing to teach anyone who asks me how to see auras, preform astral travel, and channel your ki as those are the three things I've mastered so far. Anybody interested in a thread for real life DBZ training?

Eh, the way I see it, there are things that we can do we never imagined. There's probably some sort of unique energy in the universe like ki, otherwise things like telekinesis, which has practically been proven to exist in laborotory testing, wouldn't really be possible. Perhaps it's just electromagnetic, like Kirlian photogrophy seems to be, but there's something to it if you as me. As for "Dragon Ball training," I had a little bit of experience with this earlier today. I've been watching through that filler between Piccolo Daimao and the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai and earlier I was thinking about the whole "Stilling your heart" stuffage. So, uh, I tried essentially meditating. In a car. And I felt like I could see my surroundings with my mind's eye, all of the scenery passing by, but my eyes were closed. I don't know if I was just imagning what it looked like or if that's what my surroundings were like. After all, my eyes were shut. But still, it felt pretty cool. Big thanks to God for teachning me this stuffage!

Well done! You did a very good job, Kiyza. That's the beginning of what is known as 'remote viewing', and I seriously doubt you were imagining things. You may have some hidden clairvoyant abilies. I think you need to keep working with that. You never know where your talent might take you.You can always PM me for the true 'remote viewing' test if you like, Kiyza. I bet you could succeed with it if you tried. |

I'd rather not try stuff like that to be honest. I see it as my senses just being unusually fine-tuned as opposed to something mystical. I occasionally get what I assume to be clarivoyant dreams telling me where something I lost is. Once I got one in broad daylight when I lost my purse at school. The strangest thing is, I think it was in the present as opposed to a future event. I saw my purse sitting next to my locker as school, but when I got there, it wasn't there. Then I went to the office and found my purse there. The lady said it was next to, guess what? My locker. It's kinda weird, but I've gotten used to strange things happening to me. |

Well either way, I'm telling you Kiyza that you've got real talent and skill. You could really make something of yourself with that if you worked with it. Actually, I've got some slight psychic abilites that I inherited from my mother... Who knows Kiyza, maybe we could even use telepathy to talk to each other one day. Whoa. I am serious. :tama: I mean, you can't really come to a conclusion about this type of thing without trying it out, right? Plus, I may have had a few "psychic" experiences myself. Sometimes, I have really vivid dreams/daydreams about doing something (simple things like bending over and writing a certain word or scratching paint off of a certain part of a door frame. Never see the surroundings clearly but I'm really aware of my movements). I forget them minutes later, but when I find myself doing exactly the same thing (perhaps years later), it's like a switch triggers and I get a feeling of Deja Vu while remembering the dream as vividly as when I had it. It's really weird to feel and has happened a couple of dozen times at least. I've never been satisfied with any explanation I've made for it (I might just really like repeated movements, genuine "future sight", coincidence) yet I've never really been motivated to explore the psychic side of things. Now's as good a time as any.

Cool. In that case, I have loads of things that can help you out. Just give me a few days or so to dig through my books and notes and I'll get started. I have a lot of stuff to go through. ![]() Btw, I sometimes have dreams about things that I believe are events that haven't happened yet. I forget about them after a while, but when it happens months or years later, I stop and it's like, 'hey, I remember dreaming of this ages ago!' So I know what you're talking about. |

you know, if you have a pretty liberal sense of humour and don't get too offended when people make jokes about things you believe in, there is this very funny beat poem about this sought of thing called 'storm' by an australian comedian Tim minchin. like i said he makes fun of this stuff so if jokes like that offend you dont watch it. i though id mention this here since its on the topic of mysticsm/spiritualism etc its on youtube |

Whoa, I'm surprised you guys. This is the first site I've been on where debating this topic doesn't turn into a hate filled rant that all Christopaganists are evil. I created this topic to sort of test the waters a little. My sister Silver Star is a Christopaganist... She's the only one in my family of five that ended up that way. How and why she became that way no one in my family knows. But I guess that's her right, so I'm not going to complain. She's been afraid to come on this site for fear of being flamed and harassed for her beliefs. She's had nothing but trouble from several people on other sites, and feels that she can't open up and freely be herself. Silver Star has been run off of other sites by flamers. But this looks like a place where things will be okay. I need to let her know that you guys aren't going to burn her alive. |

Yes they do, JoAnne. I've got everything in those books!Okay friends, I'm going to go through more of my books. I'll post something for psychic/clarvoyant people after I read through them, so you can test out and evaluate your skills. I wish your friends didn't call you a freak for that, JoAnne. That's rather rude. Maybe they're just jealous that you can do something that they can't.
