well i almost killed myself thanks to my lazy mom! she made me go out in the dark and scrape the snow off the satellite dish at like nine at night AGAIN. and i slipped and almost fell off the freakin roof! my mom is so sweet but she's lazy. why do i always have to scrape the snow off the satelite dish? why can she do it? we've got about a foot of snow here. i live next to a ski resort and i go skiing all winter long. |

:ruby: I'm back. I'll try staying on topic this time. ^^; I heard on the news this afternoon how a horrible snow storm is sitting over England right now. The news says that the storm has come from the Artic, and that airports, roads, and train stations have closed because of the heavy snowfall. Looks like you guys are going to be in for loads of snow. As for me, it's raining at the moment. I think it's supposed to be around 47° tonight. I bet 47° sounds a lot nicer than -1°, right AntiMew? |

Umm... actually not. XD 47° is scorching hot (for us it's half way between water's freezing and boiling points) so I think we'll take our chances in the snow.

In the summer, it can be 107° here. That'll toast your poke balls! :yellow: JoAnne:Chestnuts roasting on an open fire.♪ Sonic:OW OW OW OW!!!! BURNT CHESTNUTS!!! I had my fill of snow growing up as a child. I don't even like when it rains. Thank God for Ruby! She'll fix me great hot meals and drinks, cover me in heaps of blankets, and make sure my heavy socks are always washed. I never thawed out from my childhood until I met her. Ofcourse, I'll be visiting my family this Christmas, meaning I'll end up back in the snow again.... |

It's been raining all night. If I was getting snow, everything would be completely covered in it by morning. I think the closest I've come to seeing snow where I live was earlier this Spring. There was a huge hail storm that covered everything in so much hail that the ground was solid white. It was only hail but it looked just like snow. The roads were solid white, and I couldn't see any of the lava rock in the front yard. All that was solid white too. There was also big clumps of hail on the pine trees in our yard. *yawn* It's after 5:30 am. I'm going to get a warm cup of milk and honey and curl up in bed where I'll be nice and warm. Nighty night. ..... ..... ..... Zzzzzzz..... :yellow: |

:ruby: Are they pics of all the snow where you live? The rain has finally stopped and the fog is back and sitting on my doorstep. I get the feeling that out there, somewhere, Silver Star is meditating in the cold night... |

Ooh, that sounds pretty. I'd like to see those pics. I don't mind snow as long as I'm not in it. Sometimes pics of snow can be really pretty. They remind me of Christmas cards. Some of them can be downright beautiful at times.

Too lazy to resize them so here's a link to the folder: http://s644.photobucket.com/albums/uu164/F...us/Snow%202010/ Some nighttime ones, some of the main road, some of trees and fields, a couple showing how deep the snow in the driveway was and one of my poor bike. One didn't get uploaded, but I'm not sure which it is. |

Pretty pictures. My DSi would only show the first six before the message popped up saying something like 'out of memory, image may not fully load.' But from what I saw it was really pretty.I love how everything looks in the snow at night, Anti. It has a certain mystical quality to it, just like all photos taken at night. It makes things look so beautiful. I took several photos of the hail storm that turned everything white like snow. If I had more than just my DSi, I could upload them and show you guys what I get here in America. |
