Shop is closed- delivery time

Posted by mortislegion (Admin) at Aug 19 2009, 09:22 PM. 44 comments

Unfortunately the bike shop has been asked to move on as the owner of the building wants to pull it down. Hopefully anything that gets placed there is met with as much bad luck and disaster as has befallen all involved at the store. This has a couple of implications. Corner of the attic will cease to exist as you know it. I know, I know, I'm going to try and get into another store, I'm not sure of it being successful, but I'm going to have a crack at it. In the mean time I'll continue to run things, but will deliver items to people myself, and try to continue monday night games somewhere else also.

I've had a few things go on this week that have left me a bit shocked and confused, this episode being just one of them, however what doesn't kill you will make you stronger so I hope that I can get things back on track and continue to be open in some form or another. If I do manage to get into another store there will be more room for new games and new people so fingers crossed I can make it. A great place to shop and hang out for all is what is envisaged, as usual on a shoestring, hehe.

People who have things on layby don't panic, I'll still have said items for you, I'm also still ordering items for people as well as having the stock I currently have. This will also appear on the website, as well as a spreadsheet of all we have in stock so you know what we've got if you do indeed need something, again, if we haven't got it or it's about to come out, we'll order it for you. Memberships are still valid, nothing is changing accept our address. Any questions can be directed to me.

New look, new functionality?

Just hoping the new look of the forum comes with the option to 'mark as read' or 'mark all as read' for topic threads cause I've just ha a look around and everything seems to have been 'unread' in the move and you know I dont like reading anything twice if I can avoid it.

Using The Forum

Hi, if you're going to use the forum, there's some things you should adhere to when posting. Make sure the post you write is something worth reading. Imagine a whole thread of one word comments,SPAM, BORING. A post of "LOL" isn't interesting and wasted a few seconds of your life that you'll never get back.

Want people to read your posts? Make sure you've spelt it so that others can read it. Ay, waz up cu L8r, Is really annoying to read and will probably have me reaching for the edit button...

Keep to the Topic. No point having a thread on Lord of the rings if it's going to turn into a conversation about the weekend. Make a thread for it elsewhere. Others may want to continue their discussion on the subject of the original thread. I'll attempt to Split the thread if a conversation branches off into other areas in a thread.

I've just had to go through and delete 30 posts due to them chasing numbers for how many posts they've done. Most of them in this topic, which clearly mentions Spamming the forum. DO NOT POST SPAM. For those who may not know SPAM is nothing but rubbish that no one really wants to read; One word posts, etc, etc. If you've got nothing to say, you're not obliged to...

The same rules apply in here as they do at Armageddon war games club. Use your common sense here. Remember you represent the club, which by association you represent Corner of the Attic, which by association you represent G&D Cycles. Your actions in here can affect both the club and those businesses. Think about your comments and how they will affect someone else, no matter how small.
