Conscript Posts: 10 Group: Members Member #42 Joined: July 11, 2007	Hows it going guys My names Dom and Im just a newbie to Warhammer Fantasy, but Ive been drawn into it for too long now.. Just thought Id be polite and say wassup to everyone, and the man of the house (or attic) Mr Paul Mayo (remind those dwarves about SIX turns eh? or maybe dwarf women are sexier than we think?) Im getting into Ogres and Chaos, and High Elves Ive decided to wait a while for a new range of models (IMO HE models are looking too sissy even for Elven standards). So if anyone got models or bits (happy to pay) or advice (not happy to pay) they could provide, please drop us a line! Well, may you all roll double 6's Dom

I play High Elves and I have to say you're making a good choice, play another army before Elves, they're hard to get the best out of them especially if, like me, you just jump in with no understanding of the rules. And I definitely agree with your second point, the models do look a bit sissy, especially compared to the new Wood Elves. Best of luck

But I was always a sucker for the idea of a grim type of High Elves constantly at war etc etc but the models in the current range really dont do that image justice.. Anyway, thanks for shouting out! I'm 3-nil up against Paul's Lahmian Vamps though And that's for sure, the current models are rubbish compared to any other new range out at the moment, especially Empire and Dwarves

One of the previous posts was Paul banning someone for their win! :lol: Yeah, think Im going to wait to see the next ed. of High Elves, God knows how long that'll be. Though I have heard a rumour or two that High Elves are going to be the next Fantasy army to be updated/upgraded. Can anyone confirm this?

Don't listen to anyone but me in here... :lol: Most of us in here are members of the Armageddon war games club, there are a few in here that just come in for the atmosphere too, lol. I'm of the opinion that vampires will be next. Storm didn't tell you that his elves fought like faeries on their last outing and he lost his bolt throwers, knights, and various other troops to a flock of bats... I'll be back I tell you, I'll be back.. Shakes fist and spins on his heel creating a very cool flourish with his necromancer's cape.

Feels like if the Brady Bunch all played different Warhammer races then this is what it'll sound like! Thanks dale, yeah if I can actually get some time off work, Ill come down for sure! Even pop down to Corner of the Attic for some goodies (Ill make it down one day Paul) Yeah Paul, Im a sucker for Vampires too. But Im sorry, the Lahmians just dont cut it with me. Straight up Blood Dragon or Von Carstein all the way! But when the High Elves are re-released, I shall be joining the ranks of the faeries.. i mean High Elves. But for now, as Mr Mayo knows, Im goin the fat boys the Ogres. When I actually do get the bloody army up, Ill come down and you all can whip my Naughty Words Filter into competitive shape. All the best guys!

At the end of the day, thats the kind of things that makes the game great. Fell bats munching up fully armored knights, then being chopped up by a couple of regular elves... Maybe thats why I liked orcs n gobbos at the start... All in a days work guys? Just be appreciative of the actual time you guys have available. If you dont know what Im talking bout, talk to me after you work 6 days a week, 12 hours a day! Well, keep the retributions going guys! Im having a ball!
