Paul another IG rule query - In the above mentioned rule is reads that the Leman Russ when moving or stationary can fire it turret weapon in addition to any weapon it is normal allowed to file. So at combat speeds a vehicle can fire one main weapon and any defensive weapons - does this mean that i can fire the turret weapon and for example a Lascannon (not a defensive weapon) and any defensive weapons in addition (less that 4 strength)? It also raises the question can the turret weapon still fire when moving an cruising speed? greater than 6 inches.. if it can it may explain why they can only move D6+6 inches at cruising speed intead of just a maximum of 12 inches |

I'll have to have a look at the book tomorrow to see if I can answer it. I would suggest that yes indeed you can use the turret weapon and the lascannon and defensive weapons even if you move 6 inches. I don't understand the D6+6 inches movement however??? I wouldn't think you could move at your maximum movement and use the turret or lascannon. Then it'd be just defensive weapons. I'll have a read tomorrow though and see what it says. |

D6+6 inches is the maximum distance at cruising speed of a Leman Russ to move - for all other vehicles it would be a move of more than 6 inches upto 12 inches. The rule does state that the Turrent weapon can fire in addition to any weapons it would normal be able to fire. The warhammer 40K rule state a normal vehicle moving at Cruising speed cannot fire any weapons.. but the Leman Russ rule give me the impression that the turret weapon can still fire at this speed but no other weapons would be able to. |

Ok from what I see, the Leman russ can indeed shoot all of its weapons when it moves at Combat speed. It can also shoot all it's weapons at Cruising speed. This means of course at cruising speed you are potentially moving less with the d6, but are free to shoot. The codex overrides the rule book for things like this. The rule for Drop pods is a case in point. Nothing can deep strike until the second turn. Drop pods can do it in the first turn. |

Yea, i read it the same. THe Turret weapon is in addition, so at combat speed you fire 1 weapon + defensive + 1 Turret weapon. The sacrifice for this power is that your cruising speed is limited to 6+d6" (wether or not you roll the d6 before or after you have moved it the 6 is up to you i guess....) But the normal rules for crusing speed apply, so if you move more than 6" you can only fire defensive + 1 turret weapon. Easy
