Finally, Witch Hunters and Demon Hunters get an update to bring them into the new Edition of rules. Forge World has released an official rules updates for all their vehicles features in IA 1&2, so they all comply with the new rules of this edition. =) It only effects vehicles, but it sure does help us Inquisition Players.

Some examples:
Sisters Rhinos are now 35pts and come with Smoke and Search Light. and the prices of upgrades have subsequently gone up.
All WH vehicles now come with Smoke and Search Light.
My new Repressor is now only 50pts :D, and comes with Smoke and Search Light.
Inquisitors can choose a Valkyrie using the new Valkyrie Prices and Rules :D

Im wrapped, i may have to order a bunch of Rhinos and Repressors!
TimmiG- I update almost as frequently as VG Cats.

What about Valkyries? 12 Sisters/Storm troopers with shotguns could make a mess of a few things dropping out of one, especially with the rocket pods and a multi-laser/lascannon supporting their fire.

If it's Inquisitor only, not a Fast Attack choice, then....I'm gonna have to think on this. :-/

Can you post up a link to the FAQ?

Problem is that most people don't have the IA books and hardly anyone is prepared to play IA rules. Until GW do a proper update I think your Inquisition dudes will still languish in old edition hell next to the Necrons and Dark Eldar

You dont have to have IA to use these updated rules. It brings all vehicles from Deamon and Witch Hunters into the new edition.

That Valkyrie is a dedicated transport option.

Sorry Tim but you are wrong. The updates are only updates for IA not the GW rules or Codexes. Updates for GW codexes are on the GW site otherwise we would have flyers and baneblades cruising across our 1500 point battlefields.

By all means chat with your opponent about mixing things up, I would love to deploy a deathstorm drop pod or two against Craig's Glitter Orks, but the front page of the updates says:

"This document is an update to all the rules in our Imperial Armour volume 2 book to bring
them in line with the current edition of Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer 40,000
apocalypse and is intended to provide official sets of rules for your Forge World models for
use in your games."

Its not a supplement to your Inquisition codexes.

If you have the IA books bring them along to our next game and we can give the new rules a go

I'd love to field a Damocles Rhino and Prometheus Land Raider, they're both great vehicles (seen them in action at the Altona club before). I should look at the Forgeworld site and see how difficult it is to convert a normal Rhino into something like a Damocles version.

It would be something new to throw into a friendly game.

Yes, if it was an update to a codex, you'd have heard about it through white dwarf or even if you're signed up to their newsletter.

SO i have to field an IA army that has no IA models in it to take advantages of rules for non IA models that just happen to only appear in an IA update at this time!?

Yea that makes sense.... NOT

no one said it makes sense...its just the rules

The IA books and rules are built around narrative games, campaigns and scenarios. The GW books and rules are built around a competitive balanced game system. 2 equally valid but sometimes contradictory positions

I played a game last night with a guy who has been mentioned on other forums for his bad sportsmanship but I will not mention his name on this forum as we know who he is. He went to ground with a Deffkopta can he do that? Not that it made a difference in the game as he rolled 2x1s ha ha karma.

You're not talking about that bloke from Whingegamer au are you? I've heard of him before. I don't believe anything other than infantry tropps can go to ground... Unless you knock the deff copter on its side so it hides better.

Craige you are a big girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you would fit in like frilly knickers in a girls undies draw at wargamerau.

I now draw your attention to the rules on going to ground as WE read in the rule book. It said that "units" may go to ground....not a thing about infantry. I had my sole surviving deffkopta dash/krash into cover behind an aegis defence line to challenge an objective....i thought it was at least worth a try to claim the going to ground.

Craige all I have to say to you is go and play with your Barbie dolls cry baby

.....by the way it was a really good game and came down to 2 inches in round 7. My Warboss was almost there
