Just seeing who would be honest enough to answer the question "what do you think of Corner of the attic" What do you like, what don't you like, what could be done better, are there things we do well. I'd really like to know, especially if it's negative as it may be something we're unaware of doing, or it may even be a supply issue that reflects on us. (Back to base-ix recently moved again so took a while to fulfil orders, for example). When we started we had bearly anything and over time built up to include bases, buildings, plasticard, etc, etc. We now also carry the core range of Game's workshop stock, which means the only things customers are ordering in are special troop types, etc. Would you come in more often if there were more tables or tables you could use for different purposes like Magic the gathering, or board games, or DnD. So if you've got something to say about Corner of the Attic be it positive or negative, I'd love to hear it. I'd also be interested if it's negative on how YOU would fix it if it was up to you. There's no point "fixing" something if the whole reason it was a problem for you has been overlooked. If it's positive, what was it that exceeded your expectations? |

Really, the only problem I had with COTA was gaming space, but if the new store opens as hoped then that's taken care of. The only other problems were with things like FoW and SW minis where because of the suppliers I had to wait awhile for orders, and that was beyond your control. On the positive side of things, it is great to have a local place with a knowledgeable owner that can get all the stuff in and help with what to do, or just pop in for a chat. Thanks Chris, Hopefully the Fow situation can be remedied by having a distributor in Australia by the end of the year, Star wars minis can be sourced direct also. I agree with space. Imagine 26 people every monday rather than every now and again and then people don't come back in because they thing it's too packed! Chris loves coming in for a chat. Here's on of our conversations: Paul: "Hey Chris, what's going on?" Chris: "Ahh, Nothing much." One day he's going to come in and he's rescued a bus load of kids from crashing into a river or something. HEHEHE. |

Space was the only negative, that and eftpos facilities ![]() Seems you're in the process of solving both of those. I've always enjoyed the level of service and entertainment, the quality, honest opinions on products, paint jobs and gameplay. If I had my shed already I'd invite you round to run the store out of it and I'd even tell the dogs not to bite ya. |

Got the shiny new eftpos machine, it's a shame they don't come with a shiny neck chain so you can wear it. Here's the plan: bigger space, a few more tables for wargaming, a few tables for card games and the like and space for a group to play Dnd or a Rpg, as well as the stock we all know and love. |

Of course it is. Why do you think I cut back on game's nights? I was exhausted. |

Its true that you never know what you have until its to late. I'm not the most regualar customer in the store but I haven't bought any warhammer stuff from anywhere else since I discovered COTA. (except the occasional ebay bargain, sorry) I was really looking forward to starting up a 40k army for the footy league next year. It would be really great to have some space to play Magic down there, as well some other Mini's games. |

Paul, to get some ideas for the store you should have a bit of a research trip (you could claim it on tax) and go to some of the store's in Melbourne and get an idea of how they are set up, what they sell and even talk to them about what is their most popular product, and even ask them for some advice. Some of the store's have been established for a while and would be a great source of information and experience and as you are not going directly into competition with them I'm sure they would help you out. You also need to update the home page of the forum, I went to the address the other day (86 Synnot St) but there was no one there except for a dry dusty wind and a few tumble weeds blowing through.

Again the only issue was gaming space - great atmosphere and good people. I would rather put an order in and wait with you than go and pick it straight up from GW - You are providing a great service for local gamers and that is the least we can do to repay and thank you. There is nowhere else local that gives us (and fireman Sam) a sanctuary to battle.. The best thing about it is that you provide a myriad of opponents |

Game space and cleanliness you need to get rid of all the Naughty Words filter, not under gaming tables. Room to put our gaming stuff when we play. You should also think of ordering a few times a week, I buy a lot of stuff and it shits me having to wait weeks to get it. It is a great atmosphere. If you put out why do we have Andrew? |

If you're talking about mind games T-J, I dare you to email them and ask them who their suppliers are for a school project you are doing for business studies... I would order a few times a week, if I had customers to buy the excess stock that comes with placing an order for one box of biker boyz. We used to do it and it didn't work very well. If you want one blister, I have to buy two, if you want a $65 box, I have to buy 6 of them. If you spend $400 in one hit, I'll order for you no worries as that means I don't have excess stock making up an order. There's incentive for you. I told you Back to base-ix have moved 3 times in the last year, so that can't be contributed to me not getting their stock in a timely manner. Also not sure why we have Andrew, I can't explain that one... |
