Apparently this Privateer press MkII rules link has the whole shebang for the next rules release. Not quite sure what the point is other than their hope that everyone who plays and downloads the rules will also go out and buy the book? Maybe they're not even going to do a big release with the book, it's just a way of introducing people to the game... Anyway, for those that are intersted here they are, apparently the release is February sometime.

looks like smart marketing...keeping their customers engaged and buying models in the run up to christmas.

The pdf doesnt have graphics, diagrams etc so most people would buy the book when it comes out.

That was my thought briefly as well, knowing that there were people not willing to buy anything, even if it was still going to be in the game until its release. It's an interesting game, I had a go of it a week or so ago over at archipelago. Think of it as a table top wargame with resource management elements attached to it. You main character has so many focus points to spend each turn, moving their warriors, casting spells through them or getting them to fight. It was a bit to wrap my head around but still I found it interesting, small games can be played very very quickly and it's hard to be cheesy because the whole idea is to smash the crap out of each other.
