Leslie, I have been in alot of roleplay sims and groups as well.
Player/GM/Admin/Owner as well all of them.
I was not saying that a player or a "pip" member should not play in another sim. I was only saying that a downfall of a sim can be tied to how often the Sims Admin team really plays in the sim.
Example: BSG-U we had several "IC leaders" as well as "OOC leaders" that were playing in another BSG sim and had the same Rolls in the other sim and others that played over their more.
When you elect to be a leader in a sim IC and OOC you are in my mind commiting your efforts to rp in that sim and make it work.
Now this doesn't mean that That admin can't be rping in a trek sim.
But an admin or even owner that decides to play in another sim of the same theme how does it make your player base feel?
The see an admin over in the other BSG sim more than the one they are an admin in? Doesn't that go hey whats so good over their as opposed to here?
Its what causes slow deaths of sims. I have seen it in many rp sims. that have died because the admins or gms would do this.
Its like you can't work for Coke and Pepsi. its the same logic.

A player well they can do what ever they want.
but eventually things will get dropped cause an admin is off and playing in the other sim over the one they are suppose to be helping run.

Anyway if you have this PIP group and it is working then great.
And i am just an opinionated B@#%$ so take it for what its worth.

 no problem Cath, at all. I am know for me meek disposition and lack of opinions "NOT!" This is just an exchange of ideas and concepts and experiences. Which run the entire gamut of here to there. Only time I take it remotely personal is when i see a flamer, then it is just long enough to return in spades what they dish, see if they have the guts to eat their own $h*t.

As far as actual admins/owners in other sims, sticky, that is a call they are going to have to make. Understanding they are leaders and people tend to do exactly or similar as their leadership does. will players have a feeling of be-trail? again a sticky. nobody should give in to their emotions over there intelligence, but we do it all the time.

"The see an admin over in the other BSG sim more than the one they are an admin in? Doesn't that go hey whats so good over their as opposed to here?"
Yes a extreme sticky, and a time management issue. But most assuredly a sticky situation that should be handled most delicately. one sim i work at with a sci fi theme we are all familiar with, we have admins in other sims. As long as live up to the obligations they accepted for ours nobody really cares, that is the hook; living up to the obligations a person, any person, accepted for the sim they are a admin at.

If I am reading your post correctly that is exactly what you are addressing here and now. not following thru 100% on the commitment and obligation they accepted for the s sim??

So far, and I mean exactly that so far, PIP has worked, will it move away or fall away? most likely as all things do. I am good with opinions and experiences being laid out.

Well that is more a discussion of admins than a player made into a "PIP" or Player Advocate role. You pretty much cant tell a player where to play. Most who like RP tend to join multiple SIMs, leave SIMs, rejoin SIMs, have SIMs they are in all the time and ones they go to for a break.

Admins on the other hand, tend to be watched differently and in large part that will be an 'are they following through on their committment' question.

All in all I think things that wouldnt work in other SIMs, with the group here, just might. So I have to keep in my mind that something not working someplace else could be as much a fault of the people there as it is a fault of the concept. :)
