I have another project I work on occasionally, simply enough, "Remnants". It involves more than just typical stuff, of course, as most, if not all, of my quests do. :kawaii:

Story:

The hero of this legend, Darami, lives on a strange island. Ratherly, it has never had any contact with any outside world. Well, that's to be expected. Morrania's residents have never heard of any outside world. The island is a peaceful place, as expected, so it would seem no adventure would begin here. It seems too Serene, though...

It begins on Darami's birthday. Marin, the girl who has a crush on him, finds that he's overslept, so she goes into his house to wake him up that day. She says she'll have a present for him later (You know what she means :naughty: ). He decides to go around, seeing as the player will kinda want to, just standing around, doing nothing would be fun. ... Just kidding. Marin tells him that the owner of the windmill has a surprise for him, since it is his 17th birthday. The windmill keeper gives him a key, so he can search through the basement of the windmill, as he likes puzzles and such (Which is why Oracle of Ages is his favorite Zelda game) so Darami explores the basement for his present. However, he ends up finding a secret passage, and ends up in a strange forest/mountain area, and sees quite a surprise as he looks over the edge. Morrania... is floating above a giant ocean.

After some events (ALttP related ones), Darami ends up wrecked along a shoreline, and a strange, shadowy creature seems to form itself from Darami's body. It revives Darami, but in the world he is revived in, no civilization seems to exist.

That would explain these shots:

As well as:

It's somewhat like TP at first. Seems upbeat, but goes into a land swallowed by darkness.

I'm tired of posting, so :P

I stole your cat and fed it to Elmer Fudd.
Interesting storyline. How much have you done?

Ehh, about half of Morrania as the village, and not much of the ??? land. I'm doing a lot of planning ahead though. Ratherly, here are some dungeon ideas.

Level 1: Weather Control Tower- Key here is to control the weather in order to open new paths, or close some off. Items are Wand and Blue Candle. It sits atop a grassy mountain, and it's causing the rainstorm at the beginning of the strange land. The power you receive from this dungeon is the power to control rain and snow.

Level 2: Abandoned Factory (name is pending)- Sits atop Death Mountain. Its key was to harness electricity and use it to empower the factory. In the beginning of the dungeon, an electrical storm occurs and makes Link lose all his stuff. Well, once you get the boomerang back, it's actually been harnessed by the electricity as the thunder boomerang. The other new item in the dungeon are the insulated boots. The boss here causes your current sword to be destroyed, so you go to the blacksmith to get a new weapon, but you'll have to wait a while, so you'll end up going to Level 3 while you wait. The power you get from this dungeon is the ability to control lightning storms.

Level 3: Underneath the Ocean- 'oy, you heard me right. Anyway, now that you don't have a sword, you can enter Castle Town. You'll get an item that will let you travel to Zora's Isle. After getting through the isle (it's thick in vegetation), the Zoras will tell you that they're having a problem with an ancient disturbance. Of course, Darami volunteers to help. Problem is, he's swordless and not able to breathe under water. So they give him Zora's Tunic (which actually changes his appearance without the defense increase), but they don't have a weapon, but Darami says he'll manage. Anyway, under there, you find a strange, black hooded person, who's interested in an ancient "treasure" at the bottom of an ocean palace. The items are the hammer, and something else I'm not sure of yet. The power you get allows you to revive events of the past.

I'm not sure about Level 4, I was thinking Roc's Mountain, but I think that's too many mountains so far. Maybe that can be a later dungeon.

Another difference are the weapons. Link gets different types of weapons here.

-Sword 0- Wooden Sword
-Sword 1- Ancient Sword
-"Sword" 2- Mythril Spear
-Sword 3- Glass Sword
-"Sword" 4- Corruption's Edge (tis a halberd)

I haven't gotten much to the rest. There may 2 different types of wands (hopefully, an ice rod gets implemented..)

For Roc's Mountain, I would do Roc's Feather (dee dee dee) and the magic book, for melting snow.

Edit:

Effect of the Zoran Pearls. I was also thinking about making his skin gray.

Don't make his skin turn gray. I like it as is. The dungeons are pretty creative... I like the uniqueness. The subscreen looks a little empty on the right hand side, though... :O

Too late :P

As for the subscreen. I think moving the A and B Icon Box over to the right, to center it, will work.

I'm doing a lot to improve this quest idea-wise, a lot of story and names are changing, so I may just start a new thread in a month or so, mainly because I hate a sloppy thread.
