1. Be Respectful. Pretty simple concept here. If it's something you wouldn't like others doing to you, don't do it to them. If you do happen to have a disagreement with someone keep it private, and involve an admin only if it can't be resolved by the parties involved. Don't bring it to my forums. Get into a flame war and I will bite your head off.

2. Nothing explicit. Suggestive is fine. You want to do a little blackout scene, go for it, but this is not an erotica site, so don't treat it that way. Please and thank you.

3. Staff members are God. Not really, but seriously, if you have a problem with how a member of the staff is treating you, be polite, nod your head and smile, and bring it to me. I'm telling you right now that if you go off on a longwinded whiny rant I'm going to be inclined to ignore you. Legitimate complaints, please. And please do feel free to voice your concerns if your issue is me. I'm willing to listen.

4. Keep writing at an advanced level. I'm not going to do something silly like impose a post length unless I have to. Length does not equal quality. Excessive detail is boring, and too much going on in a post is hard to reply to. That said, one-liners will get you skinned. Use common sense and watch what everyone else is doing.

5. No godmoding. For those who aren't clear on the term, it means you control your character and no one else's. Your character can't just walk up and stab another without that player's permission. They can try to, of course, but I don't want to see anything like: Sam walked up to Fred, took a swing at his jaw and, standing over his fallen form, spit on his face. That also means that you don't execute a long series of actions that assumes the other player's character wouldn't react to them. You have to give people a chance to interact with your character.

6. Characters must be approved before playing them. This is pretty simple. You post your character using the template, I make sure they're not some random cyborg from planet Pluto and that they fit in the world we've created here, approve it, and we're good to go. Please don't just start posting everywhere with unapproved chars. You'll get directed to the rules pointedly, and it will result in all your characters getting nitpicked to death for the interminable future when you try to get them approved. Annoying admin = bad.

7. I reserve the right to change the rules/ban users at any time. Just because it's not in the rules doesn't mean I won't come down on you for something stupid. Like posting porn on my site. I don't think I need to say, hey, you, don't put naughty pictures up. Use common sense. I will post announcements when rules change. Ignorance is not an excuse.
