Tentative rules below. GAME RULES All read these rules please and follow them. We also expect all players to act according to common ettiquete and so reserve the right to add rules should players come up with exploits, gamey tactics, etc. Most important rule: All players will remain at all times courteous and polite; this includes ingame chat, TeamSpeak chat, and forum posts. It is particularly important to remember this rule when someone is stabbing you in unmentionable places. If you are being crushed by overwhelming force, a little whining is one thing, but do not descend to personal insults. Conversely, if you are doing the crushing, mockery is not called for; you're likely to be next. Remember, just because you apologise for conquering someone doesn't mean you have to stop doing it. RULE 0: The GM's Word is LAW when he speaks in red you are to always listen to and obey the GM's requests. 1) China cannot be added into anyone's SoI, nor is anyone allowed to be allied to it. Attacking China is allowed. 2) Nation switching is not allowed once the first session of the game begins. Any exception will occur subject to exceptional circumstances and at the discretion of the game master. 3) When at war with another player, nations are not allowed to launch attacks from a third nation which is AI and not part of the war and which the defending nation does not have access to. This means no attacking through your sattelites which are no part of the war, since the defending nation will not be able to follow your armies in retreat and thus you will have a safe-haven to launch attacks from. You can launch attack from a player controlled nation even if that player is not in the conflict. 4) No wrecking of your nation. You are not allowed to bankrupt or otherwise trash your nation. If you make some honest mistakes its ok, but deliberately destroying your country is strictly forbidden. This includes releasing nations just to delay a war etc. 5) If someone's country is annexed, he is allowed to choose another nation for the next session. Keep in mind that the GM will carefully examine if you didn't broke the rule above before allowing you to choose another one. 6) When you go to a war with another player, you must clearly state your demands if you are asked to. Declaring war on another player just for fun is forbidden. RP your demands and not just go on an annexing spree when at war with other players. 7) A player absent from two sessions in a row without prior notice will be removed from the game and their nation will be given to a new perm. 8) If a player notifies the GM of his absence for the next session and we can't find a sub for him, it is forbidden for other players to attack his nation when it is under the control of the AI. This rule does not apply if the player was engaged in a pvp war from the previous session. It is your own responsibility to find a sub when you are absent! 9) If you will be absent then you must private message me of what you want happen to your country (let a random sub it, someone you know can sub it for you, or let AI run free). Lack of a private message regarding what you want done for your country in your absence will, if possible, result in a random sub that we could find. 10) In game prestige loss for declaring war against a country in which you have a peace treaty with (the 5 years limit) will be void and restored through edit if the opponent is a player controlled nation. Warring on AI nations with peace treaties will not result in prestige restoration. Reason: There should be more player interaction as much as possible. If a player wars against a country within the 5 year limit, then the other players should judge him on his actions. Last but not least: when we start we expect everyone to be there! if you are not there within a maximum of 10 minutes after the starting time we will begin the game without you and you will not be picked up untill a forced rehost. 11) Teamspeak is very good to be on to quicken rehost times, it is STRONGLY recommended you be on it at all times during the session and can hear us even if you lack a microphone. 12) Edits will be given out sparingly and for good reasons such as: -Resolving ingame player diplomacy that the game engine makes inconvenient or impossible up to GM discretion. -Punishing players for breeching the rules of conduct up to and including rolling back said actions. -Fixing bugs. Good Bad Bugs is in effect and common sense used, chances are if it benefits you you should stat quiet. 13) If you OOS and you are at a reasonable sort of war we will rehost for you immediately, for the sake of progress please try not to insist on a rehost when fighting a 3 province minor. Otherwise we will wait until the January of next year before rehosting; if you lost tech progress or etc see rule 12. War Rules 1: If you hit 100 war exhaustion and following that you are unable to make significant progress recovering your lands within 12 months then you must peace out. Significant progress is defined as regaining at least half of your lost lands over a 12 month period. You must recover at least half of your lost territory every 12 months that you are at 100 war exhaustion otherwise you will be deemed to have not made significant progress in your war. 2: In the event the you are unable to regain half of your lost territory over that 12 month period described above this is to be considered a loss and the victor may force his opponent to accept his wargoals, however in no situation may the amount sought exceed 100 warscore. 3: If the territory controlled by the victor is minor (Example: only a few border provinces or only colonies) then only one low warscore state/colony which borders the victor's territory or which is a coastal state/colony may be sought. 4: If a country is forced to peace out because of the above rules then they must wait out the truce and cannot declare war on the victor again, even if called by other allies. 5: Parties are free to otherwise agree to any peace treaty without invoking the above rules and any such a peace treaty shall not limited by the above rules. |
