GAME RULES All read these rules please and follow them. We also expect all players to act according to common ettiquete and so reserve the right to add rules should players come up with exploits, gamey tactics, etc. 1) It is REQUIRED for a player to have a TS;/Vent account, depending on which voice server medium we will be using as it is the main communication system we will be using. 2) China cannot be added into anyone's SoI until it is civilized. Annexing territory from China is not allowed, except for the port concessions, Taiwan and Manchuria. 3) Nation switching is not allowed once the first session of the game begins. Any exception will occur subject to exceptional circumstances and at the discretion of the game master. 4) When at war with another player, nations are not allowed to launch attacks from a third nation which is AI and not part of the war and which the defending nation does not have access to. This means no attacking through your sattelites which are no part of the war, since the defending nation will not be able to follow your armies in retreat and thus you will have a safe-haven to launch attacks from. You may not launch attacks through a third party human player in a war without the express permission of that player. This can be represented by giving military access, but it is not given through only an alliance (since these are thrown about all the time). 5) No disrespect or harassment of other players. If there is a dispute between two players, it will be resolved by the GM. His decision is final and not up for discussion. Continuous harassment of a player both verbally or ingame will lead to the prompt removal of the offending player from the game. 6) No wrecking of your nation. You are not allowed to bankrupt or otherwise trash your nation. If you make some honest mistakes its ok, but deliberately destroying your country is strictly forbidden. 7) If someone's country is annexed, he is allowed to choose another nation for the next session. Keep in mind that the GM will carefully examine if you didn't broke the rule above before allowing you to choose another one. 8) A player absent from two sessions in a row without prior notice will be removed from the game and their nation will be given to a new perm where possible. 9) If a player notifies the GM of his absence for the next session and we can't find a sub for him, it is forbidden for other players to attack his nation when it is under the control of the AI. This rule does not apply if the player was engaged in a pvp war from the previous session. It is your own responsibility to find a sub when you are absent! 10) If you will be absent then you must private message me of what you want happen to your country (let a random sub it, someone you know can sub it for you, or let AI run free). Lack of a private message regarding what you want done for your country in your absence will, if possible, result in a random sub that we could find. 11) Everyone must open an embassy for their country before or on (TBA) in order to claim their country. If an embassy is not opened then your country may be taken by another player (This is to weed out the people who aren't actually going to play). 12) Everyone must to the best of their ability have game patched and modded to the proper version by the game start time or else we may start without you. If you have any problems with patches or mods please message me or post in the forum before the start time so we're ready to go. 13) In game peaces may be enforced via GM/rules/edits if both the parties involved agree. This could include things like refraining from civilizing, building units, enforcing a 'satellite' status on nations or attacking nations. Players may break these enforced peaces after 5 years, but they will be subject to a prestige penalty of 100 or 30% of their total prestige, whichever is higher. 14) New. Ingame truces are enforced, no breaking. Exceptions for when game mechanics fail (ex. a junior party in a war force peaced by their alliance leader losing). 15) New. No 'farming' of prestige on random little countries. You know when its wrong, don't do it. 16) New. Nations must keep their supply % bar at 75% at all times whilst at peace, 100% whilst at war. 17) The in game infamy limit is to be enforced, you may not exceed 30 infamy at the end of the session. 18) You may not enact healthcare via militancy. Ie you must have a 100% liberal UH, a 50% socialist UH, or some measure in between. Also, there MAY be edit requests allowed but they must be requested and shown that they should be allowed. |
