I'll upload one tomorrow, if nobody else has got around to it before me. Otherwise, an excellent session, and one that was filled with all sorts of twists and turns. |

I may leave the game. I had some great times, but for some reasons I may not attend last session. Why ? - Because of the schedule. It's 0-4 AM here in Europe so it's really hard to play this long at the end of the week. - Because Brazil is boring to play. At first I thought it will be fun while not being so hard, but in the end it's really boring, since I have nothing to do. - Because I don't think how things are turning out. This is not a complaint: everybody respected the rules. But I'm sure I'm not gonna like Americas in the next session. - Because of Vanilla HoD. I played so long with the PDM mod that vanilla is now boring. I recall that that's not because of the players that I leave, and I thank you for those funny game sessions. I may go back on my decision, but it's rather unlikely. |

Perhaps you should focus a bit on industrialisation instead of expansion? :/ Chile overtook Brazil as America's 2nd largest economy in this session, Brazil grew the slowest of all the non-AI american countries, at 2.8% per year (as opposed to 29% per year for Peru and 76% for Chile). It would be fun to educate the masses in Brazil and become an industrial powerhouse, you certainly have the manpower

Become Communist/Fascist and a pariah state like me! It's incredibly fun! (I do no expansion, just fine-tuned economics, and then talk very fast about why I should still exist). |

Well, if I'm not really industrializing, it's because I never really understood how to do. I'd like to have a revolution, but I can't have one, I'm not even sure that I have potential rebels. |

Ok. 1) How to industrialise: you're perhaps a little late for the big scores, and will have to catch up in terms of industry, but having populous states that produce rubber should let you get a pretty impressive score. You need two things: factories, and factory workers. To get the former, you can either rely on capitalists, which you get by not taxing the rich, which I tend to think of as a bad early move, as you often don't get the right factories, or you can be state capitalist/planned economy and build them yourself, which is what I do. I'll get onto which factories to build where later on. In order to get factory workers, you need literate lower class pops, and jobs for them. In order to get literate pops, you want between 2 and 4% clergy in every state, with the education slider at max at all times. You can get a boost of ~0.2% literacy/month if everything is optimal. Once pops are more than 50% literate, they'll start to promote to craftsmen and clerks, and in large numbers. You'll also get more and more from immigration, which is always nice. On which factories to build: if you look at the trade screen, and note down which seem to be *very* in demand (a few levels of factory demanded over supply), or very highly priced (their price shows as green if they're close to max), you should probably build those factories. Things like munitions, canned food, cement, etc are always worthwhile building, because if even if they're not in demand now, if they end up in demand, you're going to wish you had built those factories. In HoD, there's an additional bonus for being able to locally source input goods, that, depending on the importance of the good, boosts throughput. The maximum bonus is 25%. What this means is that through correct placements of factories in your nation, you can make your industries very productive, with fewer people. This good isn't just for raw materials, but for all input goods, so you can build a chain of factories in ideal states, where every good is sourced locally, and so every factory is 25% more productive, which is a pretty big deal. An example would be in Franche Comte, which produces Coal, Sulphur and Iron (among others), and as such, gets an excellent chain of: Steel (Iron, Coal) -> Ammunition (Iron, Sulphur) -> Fertiliser (Sulphur) -> Explosives (Fertiliser) -> Small Arms (Steel, Ammunition) -> Artillery (Steel, Explosives), and then later can also produce Aeroplanes and Barrels. Such a province becomes a massively wealthy munitions province, and it's generally a shame that it's on the border with Germany. You should focus on building similar chains of inputs and outputs, as they boost production immensely. 2) How to provoke revolution. Raise conciousness and militancy. It's not as hard as you think, Tax people through the roof, and educate them, and don't pass reforms, and you'll have some Brazilian Communists on your hands sooner or later. |

I want to restart because of this bullshit, even if we get replacements, it isn't the same because it isn't the people that have been here since session 1 doing diplomacy. On the restart I'd try my best to get the best roster possible for the GPs, with no quitters. -.- At the same time, if we restart, we'd have to miss this session, to give time for diplomacy, and we may as well recruit more people on Paradox. The most ideal thing is for Otto to move to Austria, BUT actually start participating and coming to sessions, lol. Especially since Japan hasn't done anything, hasn't been involved in much diplomacy so far, even losing Brazil is a bigger loss than having Japan as AI. Since we really don't know what's going on with him, we have 3 options(unless he wants to come on and say he's prepared to take on the role of Austria-Hungary and be prepared to make all the sessions). 1) Philly_Boy moves to Austria-Hungary, DEFAULT moves to Brazil. I liked what we had going on in South America, lots of players and stuff happening. Thanks a lot Al3xy. Also, Philly_Boy is Austria in the Sunday one, not sure if he'd want to, but ideally he'd be the best to take over Austria-Hungary.2) DEFAULT moves to Austria-Hungary, Philly moves to Brazil. 3) We restart, and miss this session. >.< |

But I made Chile all cute and rich, can't I keep playing that if Default moves to Austria-Hungary and I just play against an all-AI south america?

I'm also against a restart. What's stopping people from losing wars and rage-quitting in the next game? Nothing. Would we restart again and again? We should just soldier on as I believe all players involved here have sacrificed countless Fridays and would be upset to have to throw that away and start all over. |

So far, no one has quit because of losing a war, which is great. There has not been either a total victory war where one side gets completely destroyed. |

No restart. I would like to play till the last date a Paradox multiplayer some day xD If necessary, i think some of the South American nation players could go to Austria (or even me, Mexico) |

We already have someone willing to replace Brazil, and by all accounts DEFAULT would be a very competent sub for A-H. I honestly see no reason for restarting. |

ya I am fine with it, too much drama as UK in the other game for me to want to step into the shoes of an Austro Hungary, bringing Brazil on track to become an industrial nation sounds a little better. |

Since two players will be missing tomorrow and one other quit, could we postpone? I could make tomorrow's session, but there's something else I'd like to do tomorrow. |

Isn't it too late for posponing? GM please come around and sentence it :). As not much diplomacy has gone around (and I'm surprised considering Italy/A-H situation), seems we could have a relatively peaceful session. until early 1900's, when things, I expect, will start to heat again. |

Also, Philly_Boy is Austria in the Sunday one, not sure if he'd want to, but ideally he'd be the best to take over Austria-Hungary.
