I hope we continue since no one official said we were postponing. I can sub for anything but I think trying to turn Japan into a lateblooming socialist or communist empire sounds perfect.

I know it's a bit late, but I'm not able to play at all this evening, unfortunately. If someone could make sure that I remain Communist, that would be wonderful.

The dirty work from the AI I can probably manage. Planned economies are wonderful like that.

I also hereby support Japanese Communism.

You can't kill what never had a life.

[just kidding of course, I feel I tease Lotos too much and I'm going to get a shit country in the new game]

For the coming game, starting January 10th, 2014, my four choices are:

1. :BIPRU: Prussia
2. :BIJAP: Japan
3. :BISPA: Spain
4. :BIRUS2: Russia

in that order.

Is the name of the next game Age of Diplomacy 2? I can start recruiting whenever we get the official name.

Is your game and Linny's going to be at the same time? I don't like your new rules but I still wanna play some Victoria 2. So I guess if your game isn't at same time as Linny's these are my choices, but if Linny posts his at same time I will join his? Is this what being a young child in a divorce is like? Why can't I choose unification and compromise as an option :P.

1) USA
2) Russia
3) Prussia

Oh, we're restarting? Oh well. January 10th is quite a nice time to start, as well. All this nonsense about Christmas will be over by then.

1. Prussia
2. Sweden
3. Japan
4. USA

Also, I'd quite enjoy cooping with someone playing, if there's a clash. I'll see if I can con a friend into playing as well.

I think we should have quite a long and hard look at a few of these rules, to make things easier for more interesting diplomacy. There were quite a few bits of nonsense in this game, and it would be good to look at contentious rules.

I would not be adverse to letting a new GM take over here (that everyone would support), if it keeps the group from splitting into 2 groups playing at the same time on Fridays.

Magister is having Lotos and Linny submit their own rules and were going to vote on it, or that's what I've heard at least.

Related to Age of Empire, have you noticed Belgium is free?

Hmm, Magister should really keep me up to date with these things via the PM box or the Staff forum while i'm not at home, saves me posting time if he is already at work on the problems.

Ah. I thought you were on holiday and didn't want to trouble you.

I've been in discussions with Linny and Lotos regarding their differences over the rules.

Also, had an open discussion with participants over TeamSpeak.

Hopefully a compromise can be reached.

I'm sort of on a holiday, this time i've been keeping up with friends and with developments on the forums since I am active in a game and this was a longer 2 week stay here in the US.

Ah. Hope you are enjoying the break.

Will keep you abreast of developments as the unfold for the Age of Diplomacy II game.

Also, will you still be available to communicate via steam?

Shouldn't we at least begin discussing the GM issue, and the rule changes? Because it would be nice to have those things settled at least 2 weeks before the game starts, so we have a week to get new people/pick the roster, and another week after that to do diplomacy.
