His Majesty Juan III is proud to announce that the practice of slavery has ended during the year of 1882. Juan III has made great changes to the Spanish Empire over the last 10 years, as the Imperial Forces of Spain have adopted the German system of warfare to modernize the army to become a feared force on the battlefield. Slavery, as noted above, has been abolished by His Majesty. This is a great day for our nation to rid of a draconian system that has plagued the empire for the last 50 plus years. Juan III had made changes and created a constitution during the beginning of his reign to make a parliament to help with state affairs. The change made it difficult to pass a reform to abolish slavery, as the upper house was majority reactionary, only international questions regarding this practice brought the issue to the forefront, and by 1882 a decision was made to rid of it. Even though in the eyes of the world we seem to be a reactionary government, we are finally beginning the process of a lightly imposed liberalization of the state and society. We wish to see a state capitalist system imposed, so we may regulate the corruption rampant that is fully implemented in nations who endorse the laissez faire economic system. We shall begin a industrial revolution within our nation, to make sure we can keep up with the other nations of Europe and the Americas who have moved on from the agriculture economy. We believe that the massive education investment by the state has made the initial process a success, and we shall begin the basic industries for workers to make a good living. |

The DPRUN is ecstatic to hear that Spain has overcome her reactionary fetters, and will join us in progress. We are also similarly pleased that the Spanish government recognises the dangers and injustices that plague capitalism, and are taking some, if not all, measures to prevent them. We wish Spain and her People the greatest prosperity in these coming years. Secretariat for Foreign Affairs, Amsterdam |

We are pleased to have reached an understanding with the Spanish Crown. The German Empire is most satisfied with this arrangement. |
