The Spanish delegate would like to elaborate to our Bourbon cousins of Southern Italy, to dispose of the infidel Muslims who have ravaged our lands for centuries. They once occupied our people, our homes, our future. And still to this day they harass our shipping lanes coming from the around the world. Great valuables from the Americas, Africa, India and the South Pacific either sit inside the palaces of these pirates, or at the bottom of the Mediterranean Sea. We must seek our revenge, for the people and our faith. A "Crusade" we must call from our people to dispose of the Barbary threat. Let us return the favor and take their homes, their people and their future. And mold it into a modern land for our great nations to prosper off of. Our last initial statement shall be, do not forget what they have done in the past, as we Spaniards have not forgotten the Islamic occupation of Iberia, we hope Sicily has not forgotten its occupation as well. Signed, Spanish Diplomatic Corps |

The official position of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies in regards to the Moroccan Question, is that the announcement by The Kingdom of France (occasionally referring to itself as a Republic, for reasons unknown) that it will ''defend'' the african state in the case of an attempted sphering or annexation by The Kingdom of Spain, represents an unjustified intrusion in an eventual conflict that would in no way impact the french nation. It is the opinion of our government that said intervention, although disguised as an altruistic defense of moroccan sovereignty, could be more accurately described as an attempt by the french to limit competing expansion in the north of Africa. It is clear that The Kingdom of France has, without consulting fellow european nations, bestowed upon itself the role of judge and regulator of all things african. It is our countries hope that this attitude will be corrected by the proper diplomatic means, and that a fair balance of influences over the mediterranean basin will be achieved. We consider Prussia's proposal fair, and are prepared to support its enforcement. |

Austria objects to the infringement on the Ottoman Empire's vassal state of Tunisia. Steps to curtail piracy in Tunisia should first be taken by the Ottoman Empire before any third party involvement. |

Although England was not invited to this conference, we will assume the role of pirate hunters in the Mediterranean. No further action is necessary.

The Spanish delegation has seen the British message as garbled, please elaborate and resend the message. We are also astonished at the lack of British presence in the European theater, we wish to ask why that is the case, in these dire times for the continent and its people, that the British Empire sits idle to watch this continue. |

It is our opinion, and one we believe is shared by many european nations, that The Ottoman Empire has shown complete inability in exercising control over the north african territories that it once kept on a tight leash. The recent events in Egypt, along with the incessant pirate activity emanating from those regions, are enough proof of this. Austria's position is to be understood, as it does not possess shipping interests as significant as Spain and the Two Sicilies do in the mediterranean, and has thus not suffered the infuriating harassment of the vicious outlaws against its merchants. The time has come, we believe, to put an end to this anarchy. |

Nevertheless Austria believes the opportunity should be extended to the Ottoman Empire to reassert control over her Tunisian vassal in order to curtail the alleged piracy there. |

Sweden has no objections or opinions either way for at the moment she has little commerce in the Mediterranean, but we thank you for the invitation. |

Russia supports the idea that both Spain and Two Siciles should take part in piracy control in front of their coasts, taking over Morocco and Tunis. Russia can't understand the French double moral regarding two sister monarchies, both of the most noble Bourbon family, and reiterates that both should be allowed their claims on North Africa. We'll await for a Fremch statement on the issue. |

We believe that an Ottoman pronouncement on the issue at hand is also of the utmost importance. |

The Ottoman Empire is happy to see such an initiative being taken against the Barbary Pirates, we accept the terms of this Conference. The Caliph has also taken note of the Austria's support hoping this will bring an era of friendship between our two grand empires. |

The Kingdom of the Two Sicilies is glad to see that, with the Ottoman willingness to cooperate, the north african question is coming close to being resolved; this will happen as soon as France abandons its intransigent hostility against competing expansion in the mediterranean basin. |

Will France issue a pronouncement on this matter? If not, we encourage The Kingdom of Spain to take action in Morocco regardless of french threats. |
