Treaty of Madrid-Roma

Posted Image Posted Image

This treaty, between the Spanish Empire and Kingdom of Italy is a offensive and defensive alliance.

Terms of the treaty:

Clause 1: Spain and Italy are under a offensive and defensive alliance, and are inclined if asked to join in any war either are involved in.

Clause 2: If rebel insurrections are happening in either nation, the other is inclined if asked to intervene and dispose of the rebel threat.

Clause 3: Both Spain and Italy may base both army and naval forces in either nation during times of peace.

Clause 4: Spain and Italy both recognize claims made by both nations, and shall uphold those claims.

Clause 5: If war is made that involves either nation and one of the signatories is allied with the aggressor nation, they shall stay neutral in the conflict. (OOC: For example Italy is allied with France, France attacks Spain, Italy shall not become involved in the conflict.)

Signatories:

:BISPA2: Spanish Empire [x]

:BIITA: Kingdom of Italy [x]

Penalty for breaking any of these clauses is 20% reduction/transfer of treasury.

(Alliance treaties have a fixed prestige penalty, also seperate threads should be used for major treaties involving multiple people, alliances/NAPs should be posted on embassies, there's way too many threads, pushing back some embassies to page 2. This is fine, just a note for next time, except the prestige penalty ofc)

Ok then, from now on I will post future alliances and NAPs in the embassy thread, my apologies.

EDIT: Prestige penalty has been removed from treaty.

Make it a rule for next games (and current one), Alliances and NAPs to go on embassies to avoid treaty spam.

I agree it's an issue but really, if your embassy is getting 2nd paged, you need to DIPLOMACY MOAR.

The Spanish Empire would like to extend the Madrid-Roma Alliance with our good friends of Italy, we hope to continue the strong bond of unity our great nations have.
