For people who are lagging, we will ask you take measures to try to fix the lag, but if it becomes such a problem that no solution is found you will be asked to kindly leave. It's nothing personal, but we need to keep the interest of the game in mind.

You will be expected to be timely. If you cannot make a session try to find a substitute. We want player nations to stay player controlled. If you are absent the AI will be controlling your country for the session. I'm leaning towards not being allowed to attack AI user countries but I'll leave it up to the group to discuss and decide.

With regards to voting and polls, unless there is a clear majority of 75% majority, the rule in question will not be adopted.

Exploits are frowned upon and will be discussed and specific examples posted here at a later date.

No being abusive to other players. Competitive banter is fine but nothing over the top. Use some common sense here, this isn't XBox live. Be a good sport.

Nation switching will be decided by the GM.

Westernizing Process: All nations are allowed to westernize after 1500 in anyway they see fit, or once the country has been discovered by a european power.

Native gold: please do not abuse this. Gold farming is a very big exploit. 0 to 250 allowed. anymore than that will be considered a violation of the game rules.

No NAPs will be allowed.

If you destroy your own nation in anyway that the GM can obviously see, you will be banned and no longer allowed to play with the group. Or not be allowed large nations.

If you abandon mid game from the group as an important nation, you will be removed from the list of acceptable players, and if any of the smaller nations in trouble will be allowed to switch to said nation with edits.

I will be monitoring all treaties, there will not be another treaty like the current one between France/Spain.

Coalition wars, or alliance wars, are limited to 100% peace deals for ALL PARTIES, not individually 100 each.

Once your nation has been defeated or become unplayable, under GM approval, you may switch to either an Asian nation or an new world nations or Colonial nation.

If we are using a random world, you may NOT switch to other countries. You must join and pick your country immediately. If the GM sees that you are jumping around into different nations, this will be considered cheating to find the new world and a -100 Army Tradition, -100 Naval Tradition, and -200 Prestige penalty will be added to your country.

The time is Saturday 2PM GMT, right?
Turns out it's 10PM GMT.

And this 'TS96.LIGHT-SPEED.COM:7257' is supposed to be input to 'Server ID' under 'Connect to ID', with no password, correct?

Hey Gren,

What are the stances on the AI of nations? It seems to me like they've been dismantled... but we don't have any examples?

But I see the rule above that didn't seem to go either way.

I am asking as I am not sure I can make this session or the next.

I am going to pay $ and try to, but I am curious if I am not able to make it what will happen to my nation, is AI protection on or no?

Thanks for GMing!

Regards,

Eric

I am not gm anymore, but the rule on ai nations is that player nations can not attack absent players for 1 session, after that they are allowed to do as they wish.

If an ai nation attacks a player nation, said player nation must force a white peace.

And justice was delivered, in Blood and Iron.

I have a question/discussion about rules.

so atm even if you get 100%WS or 100% occupation the defender has no need to accept the terms and vice versa.

so not for this session but I would like to suggest an addition to the rules where once 100% war score is reached the one with the 100% should be allowed to demand 50% without fighting to get approval, if 100% ws and 100% occupation then attacker/defender can take 100%

If the defender is 100% occupied it is considered nation ruining not to surrender, so that solves that part.

With regards to the 100% war-score, if you attain that much you can start sending enforced peace. Enforce peace is an option that offers the defending nation a choice, either accept a decent peace deal or suffer stability hits. Once said nation his -3 stability and is sent another forced peace, he or she automatically accepts. if you get to 100% then you should have no problem getting 40 or MAYBE 50% war-score demands.

Yeah force peace is super dirty, but fuck it. If the dude is not accepting your very reasonable deal, Cheers Paradox for including the stab hit mechanic.

Solves so much.

Gracious to Gren for the stellar GM post. Frankly, even if he doesn't play Gren is invaluable in regards to executing rules and mechanic.

No homo....well maybe a little

no homo

~~~~
TL DR; wish I could enforce peace on someone maybe once all game.
You can even start sending force peace at 40% asking for just money. when you have the peace deal selected it will say at the bottom "this peace is better than expected, and will cause instability in their nation if they refuse"
