Can we start next week?

As much as i would love to play next week, I am very busy at the moment. i don't think it is good idea to rush it. I may have to think through about the rules and tweak mod based on experienced from AoD3, all which i don't have time to do atm. Also, some nations still need placing.

Why was I given Mexico? A bit confused here. Is it because Mexico needs to be played by someone?

Yes, fusillier, Mexico needs to be played by someone. I can switch you to something else if you really really really don't want it.

Just a heads up, my microphone finally gave up the ghost, so while I will be on teamspeak, I won't be able to talk for the first few sessions.

Does Mexico really have to be player controlled? It seems like quite a boring MP position.

Yes, Mexico is needed and Fusilier has stated he doesn't mind.

Games generally start with a one-week period to do diplomacy before first session unless there is some heavy modding to be done, which there isn't in our case. It should be fine.

Just a quick notice, I have to argue against allowing Unanimous to play after what he did in Sunday game.

I have mixed feeling on the matter, on one hand he spoke to me like I was trash over a misunderstanding, and I hear he doesn't treat others much better, but on the other hand I'm pretty strongly against ostracising anyone based on past grievances.

Either way it's not really our decision. Above all I'm against making grievances from another game that Linny has no control over into Linny's problem. So I would suggest just trying to put it out of your mind and not worrying about it.

Nuuuuuuuuuuu. I just noticed that the start date will be the 30th, during which time I'll be in Indianapolis.

Well fuck me sideways. I'll find a sub for that day and be there the following week.

I don't think you appreciate that by being obnoxious to people so consistently, especially when they're willing to give you another chance, all you achieve is making sure no one wants to have to deal with you. We're here to play the game (because lets not forget, that's what you're starting these feuds over.) for fun and roleplay, not endless arguments about who tried to screw who, who is being unfair to who, who isn't following the correct interpretation of the rules and so on. Especially when it's drama from a game linny wasn't in.

In a game that might have 15 to 20 people and go on for weeks and weeks, no one should have to put up with one guy who insists on dragging his emotional baggage in the door with him, who takes every loss as a personal insult, you're quickly becoming known as that guy Unanimous.

If so many people piss you off so badly, well I think the best solution is for you to find a different community, one that shares your "values" as they are.

I don't take the fact that you weren't part of that session in the first place and left without notice because not everyone agreed to you screwing me over lightly. There's a noticeable tint of hypocrisy in your words, as if "It's not up to Linny to forgive you, it's up to me even though I was a piece of shit in that session too" to which I respond with a blunt, direct "I don't care what you think". So maybe take that carrot out of your ass and realise you're not privileged in any way? I don't know, but I think that would be the better thing for you to do.

Emotional baggage? I'm only arguing with you because you come here with a very broad sense of being privileged, although you know full well that you misbehaved as well. If this is how you think you're going to redeem yourself then I can already tell you it's not working.

"If so many people piss you off so badly, well I think the best solution is for you to find a different community, one that shares your "values" as they are.". Again, this argument is about you and not everyone else here, so I don't have the slightest idea why you're trying to bring the community as a whole into this argument.

Again, this argument is about you and not everyone else here, so I don't have the slightest idea why you're trying to bring the community as a whole into this argument.

I still don't know where you got this I tried to stab you in the back myth. You didn't leave me with any instructions at all, or any information about any of these secret deals you apparently made. Even when I discussed how poor an ally Germany was, and how in the long run he'd turn on you, you didn't say anything. (This later turned out to be 100% true) You even signed an agreement not to let Germany form, which would make you the one stabbing me in the back. I never did shit to you, why would I? I don't even know you" I left that game because it's a mess of interpersonal strife, something which became apparent to me without even playing, not because others tried to prevent me from somehow "screwing you over".

And this argument is 100% about the community, the reason we're having this discussion is because Slayzer doesn't want you playing because you pulled a rage ruin stunt in the other game. So I wonder what's more offensive, my somehow "screwing you" that in no way benefited myself, and whose nature even I don't grasp. Or your rage quit and country ruin that you did all by yourself.

I chose not to play, you choose to ruin things for everyone else. I'm willing to give you the benefit of the doubt, but if you think that's "privileged" of me, well then I guess I have no objection to Slayzer's point.

I think it would be best for you guys, as well as the rest of us, if you worked it out between you, or talked to Linny about it, rather than involving us in your drama by posting it in a general discussion thread.

I've talked to Unanimous and he admitted his wrongdoing and promised he won't act out. He has been given an option to play with clear warning of ban if he acts against the interest of the game and he accepted.

People have bad days, and sometimes we don't react well when things go wrong. I have clearly told Unanimous of the need to change the way he behaves when things go wrong if he would like to continue to be part of this community where he can play with over a dozen people at a time in a fun competitive victoria 2 game. I hope my words sunk in.

I would like everyone to stop talking about this issue from another game and start the game anew. Just as it is important for Unanimous to not act the way he did, it is also important that people do not act against him with prejudice from other game.

This is just a game, and we are all here just to have fun. Let's all remember that.

I just don't want to waste my time, Sunday game is dead because of what he did. We are here to have fun, but he obviously isn't and he obviously does not regret his actions in Age of Empire 4, as you can see there is not single post from him after last Sunday, especially not one where he regrets doing what he did.

I understand, Slayzer. Please bear with me. I promise there will be swift action and remedy should he violates the rules in such a way.
