The Free State of Kiev
![]()

Zex hasn't shown up yet, so I motion that the Free State of Kiev gets to liberate China. Or I suppose we could find a Zex replacement but, it just isn't the same. |

" The Dutch shall transfer Timor, Lesser Sundas, East and West Java, Western New Guinea and Palembang to Australia." Wait what, sorry but this is nation ruining and just complete BS, if a Dutch player agrees to this, he should be removed from the game. |

Eldernesh wrote "removed" in his last post in that treaty. Does that mean that he recants his signature? How is Formosa worth 6 colonial regions with rare NGOs and the ability to block only two other nations from establishing Chinese ports? (nothing stops every primary or secondary power with a worthwhile navy to take Chinese ports). I agree with Sneaky that this is, if nothing else, a bit alarming of a deal that strikes me as heavily weighted against Eldernesh. Does he simply not want East Asian colonies or is he under duress? Yes, your land is yours to make deals about, but if I signed away all of Egypt, Libya and Tunis to the UK or France in exchange for New Zealand or Madagascar, you bet there would be an uproar. |

If he does not want East Asian claims, he should not be given a nation with such important lands in the area, it simply breaks it all and it is nation ruining. |

The Netherlands are gaining: - ~454k POPs. - 1 port. - Some tea. - 1/8 great powers and 1/8 secondary powers won't take Chinese ports. They are losing - ~2,8 million POPs. (Almost half of their entire population) - 6 ports. - Provinces with potential for Oil and Rubber. What is going on? This is comparable to me giving away all of my African holdings and all of my Arabian/Levantine holdings for Sicily. |

While it obviously looks like a bad deal, and it certainly is in a way.. But at least he's not getting attacked now. If I was in that position, I'd have tried to get someone to defend me, but that's the type of person I am. Removing Eldernash from the game for that isn't the right course of action though. |

There are other workings to the agreement that were not published for a reason. I spoke with Eldernash briefly last night and I hope everything is settled. Whatever else he needs in writing can be done. If not then we can void the entire thing, that is alright too. The deal was mostly negotiated between Japan and Netherlands. Everyone should keep in mind that the New Guinea thing was supposed to be done session one but because of a bug in the peaceful transfer and then Struki leaving it never happened. Either way I will try to get it resolved with Eldernash as early as possible today. Of course this is contingent on him being able to show up and play. We will have to have two saves ready in case he cant make it again. We are hoping that is not an issue. |

What Claudius says is true, just thought id let you know. All I can say is there are parts of the agreement that where not stated in the treaty for the purpose of secrecy, that is all. |

We are getting ready for physical inventory at my office so I havent had the time I usually do to post and read the forums. I have been hounded on steam all day though. The conversation over the Pacific Treaty as written ends right now. The treaty is voided and canceled. We apparently have a large group of players who feel it is up to them to police how other people manage their nation in an OOC method. It has already been a complete headache in this area due the Struki issue and then most likely having to replace a completely MIA Spain. My patience has completely run dry having to defend players actions. My duty as GM is to the game itself over my own nation and I take that seriously. I can not allow something like this to happen when so many people are questioning it. What i am going to do is institute a new rule because of what has transpired the past few hours: All land trade treaties must pass the consensus of the group. If a land swap treaty has three public votes against it from human players is is automatically vetoed. This way the group will have a say to prevent people who apparently dont know what theyre doing like Eldernash from being foolish. Conversation about the old Pacific treaty is over. If people want to discuss the merits of this potential rule be my guest. The above won't actually happen, Claudius is just mad lol -eidur |

People should have thought of that first before going crazy on steam. I dont see a single IC post about any of this except for posts between Japan, Australia, Netherlands, and UK. And like I said thats end of discussion over the treaty it is old news. |

Please no. Don't democratize the forums. Seriously. Any union of three people can block any edits forever. I don't think anyone wants that rule. If I came off as too aggressive, I'm sorry. I was worried about the potential for one nation to empower another and then potentially leave or greatly shift the balance of the powers by giving up states they believe better handled by other powers. I worried about a game where a nation like Portugal might just cede all colonies to France or the UK for no infamy, if they're bullied or believe them better at just protecting it, and then having their new master protect them. Every player should, while being able to co-operate, seek to empower themselves. Eldernesh might not be that weak of a player, but the next Netherlands may be. Most of these concerns are probably unfounded. I asked you a question multiple times on steam which you did not ever answer and that worried me. And Claudius, for the love of Paradox Satan, sometimes it's fine to tell people like me to stop talking and accept things as they are. You can't please everyone. |

What Yenzehn said, I tried to explain to Eldernesh that the treaty/edtis he made are not benefiting him in any way, I'm still not sure he's convinced but that treaty was complete suicide for Netherlands, this was exactly what I was warning Eidur and Claudius of when removing Struki from Netherlands and appointing a new player. |
