The Netherlands would like to acquire back their rightful territories from the young kingdom of Belgium, although we understand that not all of the Belgian population views Holland as their homeland we think that their desire for protection and stability will prevail. Holland does not wish to fight a war against Belgium and we hope that other European powers will be able to realize that this is a matter of unification, not expansion. Other than this Netherlands has no claims in Europe.

The Mexican Empire adds the wargoal of Containment on Brazil. After all, the war was for containment, not just containment by the Netherlands.

You can't add wargoals, I already surrendered. And you declared for containment, yes, not 2x containment :)

You can add war goals after someone has surrendered, if you stated that war goal in the in the war declaration. The war declaration here was, the Netherlands, Mexico and Argentina declare war for containment. So, by that wording, I can still add a containment cb, because it was never specified whether it would be 1x containment, 2x, or 3x, just that the Netherlands, Mexico and Argentina declared war for containment. Theoretically speaking I think that means we could all add containment.

But we'll ask Linny.

From what I know in every single game here that rule is the same, once you surrender we are allowed to add up to 1 wargoal as long as it doesn't exceed 100% warscore.

Once a party has surrendered, the opposing party cannot add wargoals. A "UK and France war on Ger for containment" means there is ONE containment by the party who would add the wargoal to trigger the DoW, unless it is stated otherwise [ie: France and UK war on Ger for two containments]

While I'm new to this community I haven't seen a single thread that implies or states that all games hosted on this forum must obey a common set of rules.

I also think that if such a rule did exist it would be a poor one, since it A. Encourages causing large scale damage to other player nations even if one didn't war against the victim with that in mind. B. Makes dragging as many allies into a war as possible advantageous for gamey reasons. C. Gets around the "major war" rules Linny made specifically to help penalise war goal bloat.
