AUSTRALIAN RESEARCH
1836

The Prussian Diplomatic Corps extends our greetings to the land under the Southern Cross. The Kingdom of Prussia hopes for close and communicative relations between our countries and hopes to open specific dialogue with Australia in the coming years to reach an arrangement regarding our minor claims in the Pacific relating to the Ancillon Memorandum.

Additionally, we have been given to understand that Australia is home to a great variety of fauna and flora and further understand that these unique specimens have yet to be studied in considerable detail by botanists and biologists. As such, the Kingdom of Prussia is keenly interested in establishing a joint research programme with the Australian Government in order to document the various plant and animal species that inhabit the country.

The United States of America returns the greetings to our fellow English speakers. We are more than happy to inform our support for the Australian aquisation of Bali. We have to voice our concern though, we don't wish to see Australia adding claims after claims in the Pacific ocean.

The Emperor looks forward to working with the Austrailians in peaceful ways. The gift of one of your unique jumping beasts for our Emperor would go a long way to establishing good relations with Japan.

To the mighty Australian people, greetings! I wonder if your government might not be willing to open your ports to Portuguese scientific expeditions to the Pacific? It would no doubt lead to an extremely beneficial friendship for both our nations.

Regarding the matter of the Geographical location for the Republic of Liberia, the American Colonization Society want to inform you that it is located in the region collectively known as Guinea on the Grain Coast.

I hope this information has been helpful.

We very much agree with our sister state about a proposed alliance and would be delighted to have one. For together we will most certainly be stronger then when we are alone.

AUSTRALIAN SUPPORT
1847

The Kingdom of Prussia is delighted to hear from Canberra and is pleased to learn of Australian support for the restoration of Prussian Rhineland as well as for our broader goal of German Unification. Progress towards this latter objective -- which we remain determined to pursue in a forthright but consultative manner -- has been somewhat set-back in recent years [in our view, unnecessarily set-back] but we hope in time to correct these matters.

Moreover, We hope in the future to discuss Prussia's minor Pacific interests in further detail with the Australian Government via private channels, much as we have commenced dialogue on the same with other interested parties.

Furthermore, Berlin extends our congratulations to Australia on successfully claiming Hainan from the Chinese. An island from where missionary and trading activities can commence is an especially beneficial. Had Prussia the naval capacity to effectively campaign so far in the Orient we would have gladly lent our support, as we hope to do vis-à-vis the Dominion of South Africa.

The Dutch Crown will enter talks with Australia about the transfer of New Guinea, and would be interested in setting this right. However if the Australian government would grant us a little more patience we will be glad to discuss a new agreement.

The Sultan has seen fit to send me, Numan Bey Pasha, newly democratically elected Grand Vizier of the Ottoman Empire, Holder of the Imperial Seal, the Absolute Attorney of the Ottoman Empire and representative of the reactionary party, to negotiate for the purchase of one of your fearsome specimens, which the Sultan himself has assured me will be of unparalleled value to our zoological scientists.

Of course, this might seem like a job better suited for lesser diplomatic servants... And perhaps odd that the Sultan insisted that I should make the journey in a small barque, sailing around Cape of Good Hope, then north around the Americas and across the Bering Straight. But I assure you, it is merely a sign that the Sultan wishes to test my resolve. For surely, were Allah not on my side, I would have perished when I swam ashore on that cannibal infested island after my crew mysteriously mutineered and left me for dead. Would I not have failed to convince the barbarians that I was one of them by sacrificing the one last loyal crew members, if I did not have righteousness on my side? Would I not have failed to become their chief by starting a civil war amongst them, which left their island uninhabitable for most living creatures?

But enough about my meager trials. I work in the name of greater things. In regards to the specimen, I have been informed that it is a fearsome tree-climbing species of bear, said to be the most asocial of creatures with proportionally enormous ears and noses, that they might better seek out their prey with unparalleled viciousness. I have also been informed that they often display a most dismaying frown, that their enemies shall know only terror.

Please point me towards this beast that I have endured three years of hell to seek out. I may have lost the gold that the Sultan sent me with, but I can point out the location of that hellish island that you might settle it, once the fires die out.

- Numan Bey Pasha, Grand Vizier of the Ottoman Empire.

The French government issues a warning to Australia. As South Africa it seems your government have been involved, whether willingly or forcefully into colonization of Africa, particularly areas claimed by France. We are fully aware that latest actions by your military were probably backed by UK in order to provoke France, even though we feel that Australia is an independent country and should take at least part of responsibility for their actions in South Africa, therefor we ask you to return French claimed Benin, in return France is prepared to protect Australia and help in future expansion into Asia.

The South African government would like to congratulate the Australians on having such a nice place to live, it seems people from all over the world like to move to Australia, sadly even South Africans like this. Though we trust the former South Africans will be treated fairly and kindly in Australia. For how can one treat another bad when both are the same culturally?

Australia assures South Africa that all citizens fleeing to the gold plated streets of Australia will be treated with utmost respect.  Australia has 100% employment and a high standard of living.

We would also like to make sure our alliance remains intact.

The South African government has no intention on severing our alliance but, we we must make sure our people are properly cared for, even if they chose to leave. Of all countries to migrate too, Australia is surely the best, at least compared to those American nations and there separatist ways.

BISMARCK ARCHIPELAGO
1874

Posted Image
The German Foreign Ministry is most pleased to learn that the Australian Government has decided to name a chain of Pacific islands after our esteemed Chancellor, Herr Bismarck, and is doubly delighted to learn of Canberra’s intention to transfer these islands to Germany ss a symbol of the long-standing good-relations between our nations.

Our Diplomatic Corps has been assigned, posthaste, to compile a treaty codifying the friendly and co-operative nature of diplomacy between our countries. We feel, moreover, that some manner of compensation, even if simply as a reciprocal token of our gratitude and continued expression of our friendship, ought to be in order.

Given the sudden aggression of our French neighbours – who have, by private channels, recently issued an ultimatum to Germany demanding the immediate transfer of the German Niger Delta and Elsab-Lothringen if further, more vicious, war-goals are not to be pursued—the German High Command feels that if our Treasury is to bear the strain of keeping up a war-effort, we cannot at this time provide Australia with financial token. However, we are determined in the future to ensure that Australia benefits through direct financial transfers as well as targeted investment from Germany.
