The Liberian republic can expect the full support of the Portuguese crown. Not the king - just the crown.

The American Colonization Society has brought forward this plan of possible growth for the Liberian Republic and it will be reviewed with great interest by the President. The Society also urges the President to contact the British embassy regarding the status of Freetown as soon as the proper legislation from Washington comes trough and Liberia's sovereignty is recognized. ![]() The core of the Liberian state is marked out and is seen as integral part of the Republic. The rest, with exception of Freetown are unclaimed land filled with uncivilized states that could potentially be integrated into the Republic. |

After reading the remark by the Liberia governments it's clear there is a misunderstanding of our foreign and internal policy. For while we do want to militarize everything and assimilate everything, this is an internal goal and will not forced onto those who do not desire it, everything shall me done as peacefully as possible. The goal though that we really think is confusing you is, our stated goal to unify Africa. This in hindsight is a reasonable mistake as we are not clear, for while we do want a unified Africa we do not have the same definition as you. To South Africa, our goal is too have all of Africa controlled by sovereign African countries working in cooperation for the betterment of Africa and giving a unified front to the outside world to prevent hostile annexations. - Governor General A. The British Empire is truly amazed at the progress your country has made. To be frank, here in London, we still can't believe that a country ruled by Negros can be so prosperous. |

The South African government is amazed at how much progress has occurred in Liberia! From a shit hole merely 30 years ago to a prosperous and up and coming power! This shows that Africans are more then capable of doing something if they put their minds to it and as a result we are very happy for you and your country. - Governor General A. Person |
