We would like to inquire if the Kingdom of Sardinia is aware of the current negations between multiple great power (The United Kingdom, The French Empire, The Kingdom of Prussia, The Russian Empire and Ourselves) in regards to culling the illegal separatist movement in Egypt and the plans to establish European Dominions over large areas of Eritrea and what is normally called "Abyssinia" ? Furthermore we would like to inquire if the Kingdom of Sardinia wishes to gain access to the area by conquering Arabian land, in which case we would have to rather hastily start looking for allies in such a conflict, as the Ottoman Empire regards all of the Arabian Peninsula and Egyptian lands, not already ceded in the Treaty of Oriental Cooperation, as our rightful dominion. - Abdülmecid I

The Russian court would like to inquire as to why the King of Sardinia-Piedmont, a lonely Italian minor feels that it can claim Ethiopia and the Horn of Africa. The Sardinians have no claim to that land, it is an ancient region rich with history, and more importantly is that Ethiopia is Orthodox. Russia has no reason or desire to let a minor upstart of a power simply walk in and believe it can step on our faith without further reason than imperialistic aims. His Imperial Majesty, Nicholas The First, The Emperor and Autocrat of All the Russias |

The Kingdom of Sardinia wishes to make clear that if a desire exists to negotiate colonial claims, a more respectful offer rather than an arrogant show of (imagined) strength would be the more productive approach. At the moment, our nation has no intention of retracting its african claims. |

REGARDING SARDINIAN COLONIAL CLAIMS 1836 The Kingdom of Prussia sends our salutations to the Kingdom of Sardinia-Piedmont. In this letter we echo the sentiments expressed by our eminent colleagues, the Ottoman and the Russian ambassadors, regarding the colonial ambitions of the Sardinian Government. While we most certainly do not have any objection to the Sardinian State participating actively in colonisation, we wish to draw Turin’s attention to two important documents. The Ancillon Memorandum, outlining Prussian overseas interests and the recently signed Treaty of Oriental Co-Operation, as referenced by the Ottoman ambassador. It is this latter document which is perhaps more relevant to the Kingdom of Sardinia-Piedmont’s aim of gaining a presence in Eritrea. It has been agreed between London, Paris, St. Petersburg, Constantinople and Berlin that Eritrea will be administered by Prussia. We also highlight that the Prussian Diplomatic Corps left ample time for the Treaty of Oriental Co-Operation to be read by members of the international community and sought further clarification vis-à-vis the finality treaty text, all of which occurred without indication of opposition from Sardinian diplomats. The treaty has now been signed. The Kingdom of Prussia appreciates the expressed intentions of the Kingdom of Sardinia-Piedmont to negotiate her colonial claims, and is not closed to further dialogue. However, we feel it incumbent upon our government to draw existing negotiated agreements and memoranda to the attention of Turin. |

With the Tsar being overly joyed in Galacia, enjoying his new territory, he has gotten a better mood of friendship and cooperation and as such is now willing to work together with Sardinia in regards to the Horn of Africa. As such he asks the King of Sardinia to send what he finds to be an acceptable and fair offer in terms of sale or division between our town nations, the latter being preferable to Russia. |

Spain would like to officially apologize for the massacre of the Italian army after it couldn't receive aid from the Spanish army. Though, the Spanish government still has no idea what incident Turin is referring to, it would be beneficial to both nations if it could be put solely in the past.
