United States of America sends it's warmest greetings to Colombia. We are with no doubt looking forward to the future of the two of our nations. USA hereby announces publicly their full support, with both financial and militaristic aid if need be, for forming Gran Colombia.

The Empire of Brazil sends greetings to The Gran Colombian Republic, and we wish to "restart" relations with our northern neighbors.

Our first concern is the attempt to deny our government the right to annex Chilean lands, where Gran Colombia has no access to as Peru is between the disputed region.

Now this is unfortunate, but we hope a compromise is reached in regards to the division of South America between our two nations.

Our suggestion is Chile and Argentina will fall under Brazilian jurisdiction, and Peru will be under the jurisdiction of Gran Colombia.

We think, if this is deemed satisfactory in Bogota we can perhaps sign an alliance to defend both our interests, and our armed forces along the border between our nations can return to their peacetime stations.

Signed, Brazilian Diplomatic Corps
