Russia wishes well for the incoming Dutch government. We hope it may find comfort in the fact that it has a friend in Moscow. |

His Majesty Emperor Napoleon III hopes that this day marks a turning point in Franco-Dutch relations and a commitment to peace in Europe. To that end we boldly propose that treaties be made to 1. Protect Dutch territory from foreign aggression. 2. Establish a clear demarcation point between the Dutch East Indies and French Indo-China. |

OFFICIAL COMMUNIQUÉ of the EMPIRE of GREATER JAPAN To all whom it may concern, The Empire of Greater Japan finds your diplomatic note to be of great importance to Japanese interests. The matter of colonisation has been discussed with other powers and Japan is, currently, willing to open negotiations with The Netherlands over a treaty of mutual security after mutually-acceptable borders have been agreed between Japan and The Netherlands. As His Imperial Majesty's Government has expressed in the past, we are interested in acquiring both the uncolonised anc colonised regions of the island of Borneo for the benefit of Japanese industry. We would like to know what your government's position on the matter is. Regardless of this, however, Japan is prepared to sign a non-aggression pact with The Netherlands even if negotiations have not been concluded as a sign of good will and faith. Signed, Itō Hirobumi Prime Minister |
