All domestic goals are the domain of His Majesty. International goals only entail peaceful relations with all people on God's green earth.

GREETINGS TO SPAIN 1865 The Auswartiges Amt extends our salutations to the Escorial Palace and communicates our desire for positive relations with the Kingdom of Spain. We wish, from the outset, to make clear that we hold no animosity towards the Spanish Government for Madrid’s decision to support the French in the War for Elsaß-Lothringen. We are pleased, moreover, to have agreed to peace with Madrid, allowing Spain to exit he conflict and focus on other objectives. As we approach a period in which, it is widely believed, technological advances will permit further colonial penetration into Africa, the North German Foreign Service would like totake this opportunity to draw the attention of Spanish officials to the Ancillon Memorandum (1836) relating to Berlin’s moderate intersts in the Dark Continent. |

The US government is willing to reconsider the offer from the Spanish. The offer is tempting, but we can not truly agree to it if Puerto Rico stays in Spanish control. So be our counter offer is to also cede Puerto Rico to USA in addition to the terms Spain offered. |

SPANISH WAR EFFORT 1890 The decisive contribution of the Spanish Army to the continental war has not gone unnoticed; in a report regarding the conflict the German General Staff commented on the discipline of the Spanish forces in the heat of battle. The German Foreign Ministry extends our thanks for Madrid for her contributions to the war effort. While the French and Italians make territorial gains, we must hope that our neighbours will not overlook the significant Spanish contribution to their overall victory. |

![]() 1900 The German Foreign Ministry extends our salutations to the Kingdom of Spain and, while acknowledging the present state of war between our countries, sends to Madrid our greetings and congratulations. The generals commanding the defence of Elsaß-Lothringen are from the Spanish fighting corps, and the exceptional resistance that the Spanish commanders have shown in the field well warrants the glowing praise from friend and foe alike. While the Escorial will understand that we cannot wish Spain success in her present endeavour, we can, however, fire a twenty-one gun salute in honour of the Spanish generals holding the line. [We send our apologies in advance should a few of the artillery pieces fire rounds of loaded shot in the direction of the Spanish forces.] |

Success of the Democratic Process! Recovering from the shell-shock of battle, Spanish soldiers received news of the first accurate election in the history of Spanish 'Democracy'. Readers may remember that the Partido Progresista party had often cheated the elections to obtain power over the nation of Spain, only to be given a minority position by order of His Majesty. In the recent election though, the Unión Liberal party has overcome the dishonest schemes of the liberals and received the victory it rightfully deserved. Now with the backing of a united government and populace, the Spanish military shall repulse the German invader from the French countryside and bring peace to Western Europe.

The Tsar is worried that the foreign policy of His Majesty of Spain, seems to be directed from Paris and not Madrid. It seems that every time that France raises a gun, Spain is willing to raise more just to impress the French with their willingness to throw the lives of young men away. As such we wonder if it perhaps not soon is time for Madrid to carry out their own foreign diplomacy, instead of one being directed from Paris. |
