With Europe and the Americas awash in the blood of their people, the newly budded nations of the east have banded together to create a peaceful union, for both mutual defense, and the prosperity of our citizens. The members of the compact will honor the calls of defense for their allies, as well as recognize the colonies of nations that have applied for Trade Colony status.

The current list of Nations that have applied to have their colonies recognized by the compact is as follows.
-German
-Spain
-The Netherlands

Any nation may choose to apply for trade colony status, applications may be submitted to any member nation and will be approved with a majority vote of its members. The Compact will honor the claims of approved holdings, and will see to it they are defended if encroached upon by an unsanctioned Nation.

Here is a map of approved colonial holdings as of the time of this statement.

The Auswartiges Amt is delighted to enjoy closer commercial relations with the Commonwealth of Australia and the Union of South Africa. As neighbours in Africa and Asia, we will work closely with the respective governments in Canberra and Pretoria to ensure mutual prosperity. [The German Empire is presently engaged in responding to French aggression in Europe, and must devote our immediate financial resources to paying for munitions. However, following the successful conclusion of the conflict, German bankers would be more than happy to make funds available for the direct use of our friends and allies Australia and South Africa.]

Moreover, with Japan not only embracing modernity but excelling at a remarkable pace to industrial paramountcy, the German Empire is pleased to count the land of the rising sun as a trade partner.

The German Foreign Ministry congratulates the members of he PTC on reaching a remarkable agreement, and looks forward to working closely with all members in the coming years. [Additionally, the German Chancellor has a financial proposal which we hope to discuss with the members of the PTC. It is not, however, an urgent matter. (OOC: We would be able to implement it the session after this Friday.))

France is surprised that Germans have been called into the South-East Asia forum before us, we expect an immediate apology for this insult.

Russia is happy to see this sign of peace and stability in Asia between the nations within it, while we can see that it also extends to South Africa, which has some of our advisers wondering as to why, then it is not something that we will care overly about. We are also happy that after conversations together with the Japanese government that they have been able to ensure our lands in the east, more importantly our claim on Port Arthur and as such Russia see no reason that it should not maintain friendly contacts together with the league which surely will benefit us all.

His Majesty, King Phillip M, was indeed gladdened to here of this peaceful settling of borders in the Pacific region. He was so honored to have the proper Spanish colony of the Philippines honored by the nations of East Asia.

May peace reign under God for decades to come.

The Emperor of Japan would like to make known to the world that the protected status of the colonys of the Neatherlands, and the Spanish, has been revoked. Due to their support of the French, either indirectly through allowed use of ports, or directly through combat, is what led to the Emperors decision. The lands are now considered rightful parts of the Empire of the risimg sun.

If either the Spanish or Dutch governments would like to reapply for protected status, and provide compensation for past transgressions, we wpuld advise then to contact the Japanese ambassador at their earliest convenience.

The Emperor of Japan thumbs his nose at the "King" of Italy. We invite them to sail across the world and defend spanish holdings... if they even posses ships that can make such a journey and remain intact...

The Japanese can take all the land they please, but through power and wealth alone a people cannot obtain honor.

Australia has enjoyed peace with our European neighbors in their colonial holdings. We hope that both the Netherlands and Spain are able to come to new terms with Japan.

However, Australia has no choice but to stand with Japan who has been our closest ally for nearly a century.

We volunteer ourselves to work with both the Netherlands and Spain to attempt to mediate these issues and renew the PTC.

Kingdom of the Netherlands would like to reapply for protected status, we had no knowledge of our ports being used against the Empire of Japan as the administration was busy fighting a war with Scandinavia and resolving a crisis with South Africa. That being said we would offer a lump sum to repay Japan however the French economy has made it impossible for the Netherlands to do anymore than break even.

The Kingdom of Italy would like to point out to the dutch diplomats that the alleged use of dutch ports in Asia to fight against Japan is most likely a false pretense from the japanese to take this land. Therefore, it is extremely unlikely that Japan will want to reach a peaceful solution that does not involve some type of japanese acquisition of dutch colonies.

Therefore, it is extremely likely that Japan will want to reach a peaceful solution that does not involve some type of japanese acquisition of dutch colonies.

However, with the Dutch having the obvious support of the devious French and their subservient Italian underlings, we feel that more than simple promises will be needed.

In return for the PTC again granting you protected status, the Dutch must meet the following conditions.

-They must pay to the ammount of 2 million to both to the Empire of Japan, and the South African Federation.
- The Dutch must adopt a policy of complete nutrality, supporting no wars, offensive or defensive (other than in defense of themselves), and allowing no movement of troops, or ships through their land or ports. Nor shall they providing intelligence (aka vision) to any country in the world without the consent of Japan.

The colonial holdings of the Dutch exist at the whim of The Empire of Japan. Up until this point we have maintained cordial relations, and with negotiation we believe we can continue to do so, but support of hostile factions, be it directly or diplomaticly will not be tolerated.

The Dutch Government feels that the conditions set by Japan are too harsh threaten the integrity of our soveignty. We will not have who we choose to ally with be solely dictated by the Japanese empire. However we do agree that neutrality is the best option. We would like to hear what the UK has to say in regards to this issue.

What the Japanese propose threatens the Dutch at home in return for Japan simply not transgressing and taking our lands after an agreement was already made that the Japanese would not claim or attack the Dutch in exchange for Dutch islands. The Japanese government did not notify us nor made any remark on the French using our ports until long after the war ended.

During the war the Dutch government expressly told France, Italy and Spain that it would not engage in hostilities against the Empire of Japan.

We would also like to hear what South Africa and Australia have to say on the matter.
