It is correct. You get negative score for being over your army limit, but it scales so it hurts smaller nations a lot more than bigger ones. You don't have much else to make up for it. |

How exactly is the EFS score calculated? I have more than doubled my starting # of active brigades and soldier pool, yet my score fell like a rock. |

the game stats are plugged into the formula, and the formula gives a "true top score" for each nation. The top true score country then becomes the country against which other countries are measured. it gets an EFS score of 50, and then every other country gets a score relative to that. This week you are all being compared to the United Kingdom instead of Russia, and they've improved themselves by that much more compared to you. I am curious, which countries do you think you should be ranked ahead of, and for which reasons? Feedback as such is valuable to eidur I am sure. |

I just noticed Chile has the same score of 6 as the first session, which makes no sense to me unless the AI somehow more than doubled its starting army. |

Remember that non-alliance treaties are automatically valid for two sessions unless mutually cancelled, so there is no need to renew such treaties after every session unless you want to. |

For Crimdal: Uh yea, about steam. You probably are sending friend invites to the wrong person, since I never block anyone. I bet your sending invites to anyone named Seleukos, which isn't my steam name. X1MetallicA is the one your looking for.

Under Forum Rule 9 (http://z7.invisionfree.com/Blut_und_Eisen/index.php?showtopic=7) Edits should be in by Friday. Admittedly i've been a bit lax about the rule, but I would ask everyone to respect it to make its easier for Felicity to get the save out ahead of time in case there is some problem. I am holding off on releasing the EFS scores pending decisions about the rule violations. |

I donīt know what is going on atm so it might not be relevant right now but maybe to avoid future confusion about alliances made ingame, could GMīs give a quick response in chat that they have acknowledged the alliance? |

The real issue is that an alliance was made, but never announced by any means. What the GM's missed was not acknowledging the alliance agreement, but the rule violation committed because players assumed that clear rules were actually unclear and allowed for secret arrangements. As a result, a major war was allowed to happen between 4 players, and a very major wargoal was forcibly peaced out against the Russian player. The fact that the war which caused this major wargoal to be enforced was alllowed to take place is the real issue. We as GMs don't dodge responsibility for failing to take notice of a major end-run around the rules. There are more complete explanations in the Housekeeping Thread, and more will be posted there today or tomorrow that detail what is to be done. |

i'm willing to switch to Russia if no one else wants to, doesn't make a difference to me since it seems a good Russia with great diplomatic (hah) skills is needed. Tempted to leave Ukraine free if I can find a friend to play and I'm Russia. |

You are the USA, you are not switching to Russia. Then we would need someone in the USA anyway. |

I just don't like the idea of a temporary Russia at this time in the game. It needs someone taking it over for good in my opinion. USA is far more appealing to secondary powers wanting to move up than Russia, just saying I am not afraid of taking on the task if we can't come to a decision prior to the last minute. Rye wants to take over USA if I move to Russia so finding a USA wouldn't be an issue. Why doesn't Rye just move to Russia then? Good question Crimdal. |

Thank you for volunteering. I have to get Felicity to sign off officially, but once he does please put up a new Foreign Ministry for Russia and I'll close your old Persian one. If anyone not in the game wants to pick up Persia, they are most welcome to do so, provided they will commit to opening their diplomacy and attending the sessions reliably. |

Is it just me or is 1 speed too slow for extended periods of time. All the pausing and 1 speed is really drying up the fun for me of playing victoria 2 compared to Europa 4. I am able to host speed 3 (2 for pvp) consistently with large groups so it is just making this feel extra slow for me. Can we shorten the amount of time Speed 1 is used for war, and somehow penalize people who repeatedly pause during war? Also I know we didn't have an option since our russia replacement was a no show, but one of the things it says in the victoria 2 paradox forums multiplayer sticky is they don't recommend players with the largest landmasses/troops/ships to host games as it causes more desyncs. Which seemed to be another glaring issue of today's session. |

EU4 and Vic2 are two entirely different games and war works completely differently. We've tried 3 speed and even though my connection is pretty good, there's always at least one or two people who lag behind, which just causes more problems. There's a lot going on during wars. One speed can actually seem kind of fast sometimes when there is so much shit going on. You haven't been in a real war at all yet in this game at least so all you're noticing is how slow it feels to not be doing anything, which is reasonable, but unfair to the people who actually need to pay attention to several fronts. There were no or few desyncs out of war, which is something that happens a lot anyway. People shouldn't be pausing period during the war, so if Marauder/whoever else keeps pausing next session then there will be penalties. |

Ok, I sent a pm to Kunarian explaining what I did during the session and giving advice on what he should be doing in the current war, hope he finds time to read it. |
