![]() Salutations to the most Glorious and Vast United Kingdom! May you grow ever prosperous! We come to the United Kingdom in respect and reverence, and we humbly ask that the United Kingdom could engage in a diplomatic solution resulting in the unification of our interests in the Levant, Arabia and Egypt. We hope that such talks will be forthcoming and productive. To further these talks, we shall leave an initial correspondence from our Consulate and proceed, with Your permissions, to open an Embassy in London where negotiations may progress further. The United Kingdom has the express permissions of the Sultan to construct an Embassy in Istanbul. We are most happy to retract our claims on the Arabian ports of Aden, and the Omani annexes of Zanzibar and Mogadishu to the British crown. We would be most glad to cooperate in a restoring of the rule of Egypt, with the exception of certain concessions to the United Kingdom, to the Ottoman Empire. We have a strong idea of the ideal concessions for the United Kingdom, conditional upon their assistance and aid given to the Sultan, and we request that our Ambassador in London can confirm the British desires swiftly, so that we could, in this instance, proceed without delay. ![]() |

Due to fears among some members of American Congress that the British government was attempting to play one American nation against the other in a sort of proxy war to reassert British Hegemony over North America, President Van Buren must decline London's offer of a NAP. While we have no proof of such actions, and therefore hold no grudge against the United Kingdom, we must respectfully decline your appealing offer. One member of congress went so far as to quote George Washington a couple times to sway the admittedly stubborn President. "To be Prepared for war is one of the most effective means of preserving peace." and "The great rule of conduct for us, in regard to foreign nations, is in extending our commercial relations to have as little political connection as possible... Why, by interweaving our destiny with that of any part of Europe, entangle our peace and prosperity in the toils of European ambition, rivalships, interest, humor, or caprice?... It is our true policy to steer clear of permanent alliances with any portion of the foreign world." 'Murica

*The French Ambassador presents his credentials at the Court of St. James's* France sends greetings to the Right Honourable Viscount Melbourne and to His Majesty William IV. Paris has reviewed the initial British claims and we are happy to recognize these in sum total. When you have finalized them and posted some maps for foreign diplomats to study, we would be more interested in drafting a treaty of mutual colonial recognition and support. We would like to inquire as to British intentions with regard to the Belgian Question, as Brussels is currently recognized as being within the British sphere of influence.

:BITUR: The Sultan and His Consulate are perfectly willing to acquiesce the demands of the British Empire in Egypt. He feels that they are both proportionate and reasonable for the assistance of the British in bringing Egypt back into the fold. We are furthermore willing to guarantee the claims of the British insofar as to offer a guarantee that the Ottoman Empire shall not incur upon them, and we hope to receive a corresponding assurance. With this in mind, the Consulate proposes to draw up an agreement between our two nations to move jointly in Egypt the region, and we hope that the terms detailed therein are reasonable. We shall send copies of the Cairo Agreement to the British Foreign Office in London and to the British Embassy in Istanbul for consideration. ![]() |

Austria thanks the United Kingdom for its well wishes. Austria too wishes to announce it's support for the United Kingdom's claims. Especially as the English are cousins of the German peoples. Austria would like to ask that we establish friendly relations and despite that our paths may not cross much that we work to support each other as we are both nations with large non-core populations that require education to become properly enlightened. Our first act would be to recognise all current United Kingdom claims. We hope this is the beginning of a relationship of distant but warm co-operation. ~ Eisenblutberg |

The Kaiser sends his regards to the British Government. The British Foreign Office has expressed an interest in the formation of a confederation of North German States. Our Foreign Office would like to inquire about the possibility of Britain releasing their sphereling Hanover so that Prussia may form a this confederation. We look forward to British Response.

Austria would like to ask the United Kingdom in all its glory to mediate between France, Austria and Sardinia-Piedmont in ensuring that Italy can unify according to the Treaty of Venice. Austria and France clashed over Italy but France made it clear that it would prefer Italy to unify rather than have Austria restore order. When Austria conceded and worked with the Sardinians to assist them in unification France seemed to change its tone citing that the Sardinians had not sufficiently responded to the French diplomats and that they disapproved of an alliance with Austria, in spite of recent attempts by Austria to work with the French or at least agree a NAP. France is growing increasingly unreasonable and irratic, turning back on once wholly endorsed foreign policy and trying to suppose that friendship with Austria is now mutually exclusive to friendship with France. We feel this attitude is now being taken because they (maybe rightfully in their mind) fear that the friendship between Austria and Sardinia is to be used against them. Therefore: We would ask that the United Kingdom could intervene to ensure that France is reassured that Austria intends it no ill wishes and that neither does Sardinia-Piedmont. And to ensure that France is reasured that the Sardinian-Austrian alliance is to ensure that Italy can unify and that Italy and Austria can remain at peace. Austria would like to have a treaty signed between us the Austrians and Sardinians and them the French. This treaty would entail an indefinite NAP between us and the French and would make provisions for compensating the French for the eventual loss of influence in the Papal States. We hope that the British diplomats receive this and act quickly to ensure that peace remains in europe and that Italy, France, Austria and potentially the United Kingdom do not get dragged into a pointless war in the Peninsula. Godspeed. ~ Eisenblutberg |

We hope you do not misunderstand but we cannot allow foreign held bases within our defensive perimeter. It is a grave threat to the Japanese home islands and the security of our friends in Korea and Manchuria. Shanghai is in the middle of our protected territories and thus causes us problems. If you could restrict your bases to southern China the Japanese Empire would be most grateful.

The current United States administration has adopted a new policy in dealing with British diplomats. As history has proven so in the encylopedias of American history, the British backdoor dealings hold little or no weight when it comes to British-American diplomacy. Much as the American government treated the Native Americans during our ghastly past of the Trail of Tears, the British seek to treat the American government the same. Making private treaties or proposing treaties only to turn around and do the exact opposite. As London found out (last night), the United States government will not discuss treaties or official business over private (Steam) communications. Any dealings with the British will not be considered in good faith until they are in writing (on forums). We hope this does not negate the chance of diplomacy between our two nations, but instead encourages it through transparency and justice in the courts of Kristjan.

With the death of Queen Victoria, the entire Commonwealth has been shaken of its resolve. Violence in the colonies and American threats against British citizens have brought calls from the British populace, from the lowest farmer to the giants of industry, to strengthen the government in order to deal with the enemies of Britannia. A new party in the British Parliament has brought intriguing ideas to the political stage. The government shall start massive building programs, in order to build the supplies need to defend His Majesty's Realm. The military shall receive nothing but the newest and greatest in weapon technology, in order to dispatch our enemies with post-haste. And finally, all Britannia shall once again be faithful to God and State. The weakness of the Liberals shall be washed away to bring unity and strength once again to Great Britain. The British Union of Fascists shall showcase why Britannia still rules the waves. "Rule, Britannia! rule the waves: Britons never will be slaves."
