The United States of Mexico greets Monarch of France and hopes that our two nations can establish good relations. As a new nation we have much to learn from European nations and France as a leader in Europe is a nation we can learn much from.

The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland greets the French people. After surveying the French claims, it is largely acceptable to British design. The few disputes can certainly be discussed as gentlemen and resolved. The Foreign Office of The United Kingdom has also constructed a map of claims and borders accepted by the British government, in the present geopolitical landscape. On the matter of Netherlands and Belgium. It was British intentions to allow the integration of the two nations, such as called for by the Congress of Vienna. We understand the French position towards Wallonia, but it is important to regional stability that The Netherlands has power enough to properly defend itself against foreign influences. If Paris has concerns over disputes between French and British foreign policy, an Ambassador of The United Kingdom will be happy to cooperate as to quiet tensions.

:BITUR: Greetings to the most glorious France. We wish to formally welcome the French Ambassador to the Sultan in Istanbul, and to give our express permissions to create an Embassy in Istanbul. We, in turn, humbly request that we might construct an Ottoman Embassy in Paris, in order to allow our nations to grow closer together. The Sultan is most pleased with your current colonial claims, and he is glad that there is no possible scope for overlap. The Ottoman Empire would be happy to guarantee French claims in return for a similar guarantee that France shall not attempt to impose upon claimed Ottoman territories. ![]() |

The United Kingdom of the Netherlands is intrigued about the French interest in the Belgian question. Seeing as Amsterdam has ready suggested it's goal for said question I feel it would be most desirable to hear what the French goal with the Belgian question is and why. - William I |

The Austrian throne would like to invite the French ambassador to our embassy and ask that we co-operate on your Italian question. We support your claim to Savoy and Nice in return for support of our claims. We hope that we can also arrange an alliance, as we feel that would be in both of our interests. ~ Eisenblutberg |

While Austria and France have begun on less positive terms than what would be prefered, Austria would like to ask France to consider a proposal to solve current disputes between the nations. Austria would like to ask France if they would be interested in coming to a mutual agreement over the italian issue. Agreeing that the lands of Sardinia-Piedmont and the Papal States are clearly in the French sphere and that the lands of the other Italian states are under the sphere of Austria. And as part of this agreement which will allow us to persue our own respective goals, non-interference in the affairs of the other (crisises, wars, etc.) would be on the table if you would like so. I believe this solution will be the most mutually agreeable and preserving of peace concerning the Italian peninsula. ~ Eisenblutberg |

After spending sometime on deliberation, the united Kingdom of the Netherlands will accept your offer of renouncing conflicting claims with France and will sign a treaty stating as such. We also can agree to renouncing conflicting claims with the UK that are not negotiated. In return we understand that you shall not intervene in any way shape or form in the liberation of the Southern Netherlands? If this is so then we accept this deal. - William I |

President Van Buren welcomes France to renew old ties of friendship with her sister in liberty. While it would be against our founding principles to engage in long-term alliances with European nations, we nonetheless hope to learn from the French in the way they handle themselves in the international arena.

Austria invites you to our new embassy, we have reformed our foriegn policy and wish to move forwards. Austria asks whether France would want to sign a treaty of non-interference in the affairs of the other. This would include spheres and claims. This could (and hopefully would) expand to a NAP and garunteeing the non-intereference in the affairs of the Papal States and Sardinia-Piedmont. ~ Eisenblutberg |

Austria wishes to sign a non-aggression pact with the French and come to an agreement concerning the Swiss State. If France wishes to sign such a treaty we feel it would allow us to look elsewhere rather than worry about our european borders. Austria would also like France to avoid sphering the Sardinians, as we recognise that they should be an independent nation and pursue Italian statehood. However we ask this out of good faith not as part of a treaty. Austria also would like to ask that France co-operates with the Treaty of Venice, as France has stated that it would like to see Italy united we cannot see why there would not be an issue in letting the Sardinians take their rightful place in the world. ~ Eisenblutberg |

Austria implores the French to see reason and come to the negotiating table. We have contacted the United Kingdom and hope that they can be an independent arbiter in this disagreement. They have agreements with both our nations and wish not to be dragged into european conflict. Therefore I hope that we can achieve a treaty that secures a NAP between the French Government and the Governments of Sardinia-Piedmont and Austria. Further as part of this treaty a reassurance that France will support Italian unification. And on our part we shall reassure France that we shall compensate them for the eventual loss of the Papal States. We hope that talk can end this conflict. ~ Eisenblutberg |

Her Majesty, Queen Victoria I, wishes to discuss an issue with her counterpart in Paris. The issue of Italian unification. The British government believes a strong Italian state to be vital in ensuring that the rising German nation doesn't too harshly upset the balance of Central and Western Europe. In talks with officials from a certain Italian nation, it has come to the attention of Her Majesty that France has been fiercely opposing Italian unification. Why? Surely, it'd benefit France more to befriend a unified power in the peninsula than using resources to dominate the countless, squabbling Italian minor powers. Britain shall take no action in the Italian peninsula for now, but to avoid confusion, we felt it was important that France knew the British position on the matter. For balance of Europe is vital to the continued security of the British Empire.

Italy thanks the timely British intervention. When we privately shared our concerns that briefly becoming a great power being a difficult process, because our efforts were slowed down in the mid 1830's due to political pressure, and that we are now concerned about having to use our limited amount of global infamy for other matters, along the uncertainly about what exactly the French diplomats were offering - we never expected the British to make their own conclusion and charge at the French diplomats like an angry bull.

While the French-American relationship is not always amicable, our storied history is one of compromise as much as it is of conflict. The sign of two great nations competing against each other in the noblest of intentions much like gentlemen Generals gathering for a blood day upon a battlefield. As the Gentlemen General we do our duty but harbor no longstanding hatred for the enemy we may occasionally be forced to show force against in times of overlapping national focuses.

A New Monarch For France! An event of momentous occurance under peacetime conditions, and yet unmarked due to the pressures of war, His Imperial Majesty Louis-Napoléon Bonaparte III passed away early in 1886 at the age of 76. It is reported that the official cause of death was a broken heart, upon reading the accounts of the hundreds of thousands of French casualties suffered in short order. It would certainly have been some small solace if he had lived to see the ultimate victory of France and its allies, although the full price paid after more bloody battles in Germany and Spain makes victory seem almost Pyrrhic in its scope. He has been succeeded after a brief period of unrest from radical revolutionaries, by his son, the Prince Imperial Napoléon Eugène Louis Jean Joseph Bonaparte. He shall henceforth be known by the title Napoleon IV. ![]() The remains of His Imperial Majesty Napoleon III have been solemnly interred in Les Invalides in Paris, near those of his famous uncle Napoleon Bonaparte. ![]() |
