Austria reaches out a hand to our fellows in Spain, we ask how we might assist them and look to whether we can work co-operatively. Austria opposes any rebellious faction and so wishes to see the Carlist threat destroyed.

Austria wishes the Spanish to know that an alliance would be of interest to our nation and yours and asks whether the Spanish wish to pursue this alliance and what shape co-operation between our nations should take?

Greetings,

USA would like to inquire on the possible purchasing of Cuba and Puerto Rico from Spain in return for money, securities, and Liberia. We appreciate your consideration in this matter and hope to hear from you soon.

*The French ambassador presents his credentials to court of Queen Christina in Madrid*

France sends greetings to Spain. We offer all support to the Christino government in its fight against the reactionary Carlist movement. If Spain would be interested, we would propose a defensive alliance with military access between our nations. Any other assistance that Spain may require, we would be happy to furnish as our resources enable us.

Greetings from Parliament and His Majesty, King William IV, to Queen Isabella II of Spain. Spain has a proud tradition of colonization and bringing civilization to natives of far-flung corners of the world, The United Kingdom would like to see this tradition continue into the next century.

On behalf of His Majesty, I'm permitted to offer Spain a full alliance, to be made as equals. The beginnings of this alliance would see British troops landing in Catalonia to end the Carlist rebellions, as to allow the Loyalist Spanish troops to be spent securing the Spanish empire from treasonous groups and dissent.

We await the Spanish response.

President Van Buren believes our two nations should invest in a Non-Aggression pact for the first session so we do not rush past diplomatic actions over our hope to acquire Cuba and Puerto Rico from Spain.

A few of the things USA would try to offer would guarantees on the phillipines, liberian influence, honoray status to the current Pan American Alliance plus Japan, or the P4+1, as well as financial assistance.

We send our greetings to the resplendent Spanish empire, and we hope that we may remain as allies in the years to come.

It comes as a source of great distress to the Ottoman Empire that Spain wishes to place claims upon Egypt and the lands surrounding Ethiopia. As your Excellencies no doubt already know, that region is under the express claims of the Ottoman Empire and the United Kingdom. We cannot permit the Spanish to simply infringe upon either of these, as we have guaranteed British colonial interests in that region, and we shall not give up our own claims lightly.

We would much rather not come to arms over this dispute, and we should be happy to endorse Spanish claims in replacement of these, provided, of course, that they do not contradict other guarantees and claims made by the Ottoman Empire.

Van Buren would like to establish more cordial ties between our two nations and to draft up a treaty involving the transfer of Puerto Rico and Cuba to the USA and USA vowing to not come to the aid of Liberia in the event of invasion by Spain and only Spain.

While USA wishes to stay neutral in European affairs, we believe Spanish Phillipines could be a point of contention between some in the Pacific in the future, and so we would like to form a non-aggression pact, with a conditional defensive alliance that states America will come to the aid of Spain in this first two sessions if anyone adds a wargoal against you for anything pertaining to Philipines Island.

We will await a Spanish treaty to sign once Spain has the time to write one up.

Paris would like to inquire whether Madrid has rethought its position on colonial matters, and is interested in presenting a more reasonable proposal than your last private one was.

America is saddened to realize the Cuba cores event will not be possible after it's release as a free state, while we have decided to go through with our side of the deal we are saddened by having to dirty our hands with infamy to now take Cuba.
While the execution has been sloppy our intentions have been transparent and honest. While USA does not wish to war Spain for the Phillipines, we are more than willing to reopen our checkbook for the possible purchase of part of the Phillipines if this possibility becomes real in the Spanish Monarch's eyes.

Her Majesty is most displeased with the Spanish blunder that harmed both British international standing and British logistical control of the Pacific. Spain is to surrender the North African port of Melilla to the control of the Royal Navy or face, 'prompt and utter destruction'. A single year shall be given for the Spanish government to respond.

While we do not fault the UK's reasoning for distaste towards the Spanish government's increasingly inept handlings, we do not agree with such strong-armed 'diplomacy' by the UK. If you can call blackmail diplomacy. If a nation has a disagreement with another nation it is quite irrational to try and extort from a nation a concession to evade war for a duration by appeasing Westminster with land concessions.

The British Hegemony must reform it's practices, it's continuing methods of projecting hegeomonic sovereignty over other nations will only continue to alienate the entire international community.

The British Empire could learn a lot from their French and Porteguese counterparts on being a gentleman ruler.

That said Washington can not offer assistance to Spain due to the congressionally passed Monroe Doctrine. We can only look upon European squabbles with sadness, and hope your European rivalries stay contained to the Eastern Hemisphere.

After discussing it with Her Majesty, and the governor-generals of the Dominions, The British Government has determined that Melilla is truly worthless to the Royal Navy. The previous ultimatum is null and void, carry on.

Wasting no time after war is declared, French and Italians troops begin to move against Spain. With their superior numbers and quality troops, the enemies of Spain believed if they acted hastily they would be able to knock out a German ally. The battle of Huesca would prove to the French and Italian commanders that this would not be an easy victory as anticipated.

Led by Claudio Cano the Spanish troops held off wave after wave of attacking troops in holed out mountain fortresses. Spain recently finished the fortresses knowing that one day French forces may attack Spain. French and Italian losses numbered 223,943 while the Spanish lost 88,321. After being defeated by the smaller Spanish forces, Italian and French commanders reconvened and decided a amphibious assault would be the best way to crack the Spanish defense.

Due to the battle in the north and the size of the amphibious forces landing on eastern Spain, the French and Italian forces were able to form a beachhead. Luckily the French and Italian forces were slowed down by the partisan force of Spain. Spanish men and women were reminded of the last time France invaded Spain and treated its people. During this time Spanish commanders were able to redirect forces in the North to encase the offensive. The Battle of Teruel once again showed the resilience of the Spanish defenders and stopped French troops in their tracks. France lost 104,049 troops while Spain lost 15,067.

French and Italian troops were continually being dropped off until naval assistance from Japan and Scandinavia swept aside the two Giants navies. Suddenly nervous about the possibility of being stuck in Spain, an all out offensive was once again conducted in Northern Spain. Despite losing eastern Barcelona to an enormous offensive the Platoon of Skull Crushers were able to hold off the waves of enemy soldiers. Before the Spanish were able to reinforce the region, only 7,000 Spanish soldiers remained. With this failed offensive, Italian and French troops decided to bunker down and remain in Spain. During the battle of Lerida 197,780 French and Italian soldiers were lost while Spain only lost 21,772.

The British government would like to offer praise to the Spanish for the steadfast defense of their nation. Though, the Spanish empire is long dead, it is good to see the Spanish spirit has yet to be broken.
