the end of the post-modern world, with a new bloody war, painting the world into a crimson colour, just to be in a brand new world, an age ruled by the sharpness of the steel

Sounds good to me, I hate guns. The wars of tomorrow should be fought with swords and sheilds, like in the Dune series. |

That's called a construct buddy, time is a construct, not really meaning that it doesnt exist, it's more of a term to make things easier... |

I don't speak english well, sorry
. Don't know what a construct is. But I get the point. But still there are some people who see time in another way.

One of my profs said once that mathematicians and physicists had proven through complex equations that time wasn't linear, that it was more like a sheet or a web.
Don't know how, but then I'm not that good at math.

All i know is time sucks, i hate knowing the fact that one day i'm gonna be one of these old people driving down the street doing 30 in a 50 and having people scream at me, i hate the fact that no matter how important u r or how big of a mark you make on the world you still die. it just sucks

It's not so bad. When you're old, you can do whatever the hell you want, and nobody can say anything about it, because you're gonna die soon anyways. Everybody dies, it's true, but the point is to have fun while you can.

Won't be long. Sometime in November, Dubya's going to declare himself Emperor of the World. Then he'll start invading other countries in a Nazi-esque bid for complete domination...but that's just my prediction, I could be wrong. :ph43r: |

Well, I don't! Canada'll probably be his first stop on the paths of destruction. This was sortof a chilling vision of the future, not something I actually want to happen. |

I doubt that. No offense, but I think South America would be an afterthought. I doubt Bush could point out South America on a map. Then again, it would probably take him a while to find Canada, too...

Blitzkrieg Bop! ... had to be said. Well, someone beat me to this thread a long as time ago - I was planning on posting a thread called 'Deep Thinker's Club' in which we discussed deep issues, such as the effects of mankind, why [blah] is like [blah]. You guy's don't think Time travel (called TT from now on, as I am too lazy to type it out.) is possible? Why not? Einstien said that the universe was round. Abomonation added that it was rotating. Say it's rotating this way: ----> What if we get a super fast ship or something that was travelling at the speed of light to go to the very edge of the universe and spin that way really, really fast - faster than the universe. Then, we go back to where we where (earth). Having travelled faster than the universe (and having TT faster in return), wouldn't we appear at time later than the universe? ... Uhm, that came out wrong, but I can't think of what to say. Raise your hand if you understand. |

*raises hands , or something like that. oh yeah guys, I figured something out about brackenwood. First of all, the creatures in Brackenwood are all Possible-real creatures, meaning that their metobalism and their body structure is built in such a way that they 'can exist' IF the universe isn't limited, then there is so much place that everthing is possible, meaning that there really is a planet named brackenwood with all those nice creatures  that would be so kickass! |

*raises hand * They have done studies on this, The put a clock set atomicaly to each other, and put on on a space ship, and another on earth. When the space ship came back with the clkock, it was like 2 seconds off of the other one, I cant rember it if \was forward or behind. But you get the gist of it. |

That's cool, Tordeck! Man, Nordon, that's gotta be true. I mean, think about it. We've got one 'infinite' universe. We've got infinite demisions, different versions of the same universe. Oh, god the chances. |

"raises hand" i get what your saying the only problem with that is that you would have to travel faster than the speed of light in order to arrive forward in time now you see since nothing can travel faster than light it would be an impossible feat to accomplish |

Hmmm. You have a point. Okay, TT backwards (as in, backwards in time): You go out of the universe. Say time travels within this universe, like so (Pretend this is a circle). _______ |TIME....| |T.......T.| |I.......I .| |M.......M| |E........E| |TIME....| --------- So, Say you hop into your space ship and you get outta the universe this time... back go <---- that way? Would you not go backwards in time? |

good theroy it might work considering every thing outside the universe is in another dimension and time might be different there it could work |

hmmm not so sure, because it should be impossible to leave the universe... I guess this is all theroies in the end and you can belive in what you want but the theory that i've always belived in is that as galaxies move away from the center of the unvierse, the universe expands to accomidate the moving galaxies... so if you were at the 'edge' of the universe and you went foward, the universe would grow that much larger to accomadate you... Kinda hard to explain but its a bit like filling a bucket with water, but it never overflows because it keeps getting larger with the more water you put in it... But whatever you can belive what you want, there it no real way to tell at this time ;P |
