Uhm yeah, sometimes when I sleep, it doesn't matter how long I've been sleeping, what state of sleep that I'm at, or what I'm dreaming, sometimes I'll awaken with a slam in my chest, like someone has dropped my into my bed, but with no pain, I always waken suddenly, it's really weird... I could be in a room with no one in it, or a a noisy car!

mmm...I experienced something similar to this.
I start to 'feel' sounds surrounding me, I sounds like thousands and thousands of people whisper-yelling in my ear...and then I wake up.

Yeah...

Sometimes i get re-occuring dreams, (sometimes several times in a night), where i dream that i trip over on a step and when i hit the floor i jolt awke, as if someone jumped on me, or sometimes i'll be walking on a mountain and i trip on a root, or i trip on the stairs...

Yeah, thanks for responding you guys, I'm new to this message board... I guess it's different for everyone you know? It's not a sound, I could be doing ANYTHING in the dream... it's really weird... maybe my hearts skipped a beat and my brain woke me up?

Ok, once again. The answer is the same as i've mentioned before. Your talking about the dreams where you feel like you were pushed out of sleep? Those are OBE's out of body experiences.

OBE's? I don't feel... out of body... I'll be in a dream, then it will blurr, and I will awaken that way... ever had someone jump on a trampeline right next to you while laying down... you know how you have that same jolt? Well that's the exact feeling...

I experienced something painfull this night. I that my leg was amputated, then I woke up with a heavy pain in my leg. Now Imust say I don't cry a lot. When I'm hurt, I just start yelling and cursing everyone who is near me. But this was so painful that I had to cry.

Goddamn, I hope I never have to experience it again.

Maybe you were abducted by aliens and they put a tranceiver in your leg :gasp:

Then again, maybe it's just your mind screwing with you.

I have these a lot in my toes, that hurts too, but nothing of that beats the pain of that pain in a leg.

...because there is no need for a cramp forum, it's just something we had s say to each other quickly.
But I get your point, back on topic with this!

I exerience something similar to this. But I don't feel a slam in my chest. It just feels like all the energy in my body bursts out of me, and I am very exhausted after that.

Strange...

Thankyou for staying on topic, I'd like to keep atleast ONE of my topics going... I'm always having to edit or double post to get people back to my topics... anyways...

Has anyone here ever awoken suddenly, or have awakened themselves, and hallucinated... I've done it so many times that I know I'm hallucinating... one time I woke up from a dream suddenly and I saw this spider with HUGE legs... running frantically around my bed.. then it dissapeared... I wasn't afraid... I love spiders.. but stuff like that happens when I awaken suddenly.

I've done that, but it usually turns out to be just a shadow, or a chair with dirty laundry draped over it. When you're just waking up, your mind has a way of being sort of half-way between dreaming and waking.

I've been really active lately. Plus, most of the stuff in the 2D3D forum I don't really get, so I've been doing alot on the Stories forum. Don't worry, I'm not stalking you.

I used to get that waking up with a sudden jolt thing all the the time. Someone once told me that it was because when you sleep, your astral body floats just above your real body and if it perceives some sort of threat to your real body it will slam back into place. It sounded pretty cool to me, but it still pissed my girlfriend off because it would wake her up too.
Now I take magnesium before I sleep and that stops the night twitches.
