I can't help but notice that Titor's version of what will happen in the next 32 years is close to the LDS (Mormon) religion's version of the "last days." What we belive is that within the last days the following things will come to pass:
Wars and rumors of wars, the appearence of many false prophets, the condition of US government will get so bad that the constitution will figuratively "hang by a thread," a "mountain will fall into the sea" (back when Revelations was written, how else would you describe an asteroid?), there will be a huge war where every weapon avaliable will be used and most of the world will be involved, there will be a great increase in natural disasters, and about 2/3 of the world's population will be killed from it all.

That's just nature's way of renewing itself. Sure, the world of humanity might end, but that's not the end of the universe. Nature will always go on, better for not having us marring the world.

Better for us man, I wont be scared.

people need to realise our life on earth is only half of it.

there is our actual life left to live when we die, noone knows what it is...maybe our true self's when we are no longer held back by this body.

If you can see past that, then you will perform well during the war.

I don't know what happens when you die, and frankly I don't care. We all gotta go sometime. As a greath author once said, "Death is but the next great adventure."

OK, Go figure i'm new to this forum, I've spent all night viewing the bitey flicks, the hitchhiker parts (i actually freaked when the old lady screamed :|... roflol)

Anyway, as i said i spent all night doing strange stuff just coz i'm bored, and I end up registering the forumboard, and posting in the first topic i find regarding The problems of Human kind.

Seeing as i'm the type of person that would go to the extremes in short term politics to ensure long term progression. Add to that the fact i've spent a good deal of my life identifying my personal lacks as a human and those of the entire human race.

I came to one big problem... i felt like i was the only git seeing what the hell is going on with us.

Here I am reading a forum i got to from clicking on a link towards a vulgar (yet pretty funny and devoid of intelligence) game. (there's a whole story between the two
euh... and i'm reading people who think up to a point similar to my found problems with the present day...

Bladiebla, to make a short story too long.

I second a lot of small parts mentioned above, and whether or not this John bloke is real or not, he seems to have done a few studies normal people wouldn't do (regardless of what time he originated from). So either he's a madman like me (and it would seem as are spitfire and sigfrid :P) or he's really from the future, in both way's... who cares.

Truth is, people ARE finding ways to end the world problems, all waiting their chance, for the dirty plate (as someone metaforically gave it a shape, and thank you for that :)) to get stuck in the dishwasher, once it's clean (world disasters or what ever) They will take their claim.
I'll be one of them, and I hope to the dearest of myself all those who do the same, will think at list remotely similar to me :).

Btw, Small groups bearing a single dictator/leader figure, (leader of the pack anyway) following the rules of the fittest will actually be the best, but that's asking humanity to 'bomb themselves back to nature'. (i'd call it an improvement but... aah well :P).

Nice to see you all here btw, you'll be seeing a lot of me, so if you find me repulsive already, say so now, i will take your opinions on mind.

lol. Ray size post again... (sorry 'bout that)
I'll go make an introductionary post about myself now)

Regards

you know whats its like to talk to people, work....spend time with family (what little I have) and close friends. and always have this isolated feeling, like noone really gets you, or your not suppose to be here?

I feel like a :ph43r: trying to be a normal person, in a human costume

I dont consider my life now, worth wasting time on...im waiting for something else to happen, something worth my time and effort, in which I can come out and be myself

I rather live during WW3 then just live on this floating piece of turd called earth, how things are now.

The world is getting pretty bad, but we don't need a war to fix the problems. Granted, that would be the quickest way. ;) We need a change, to keep the stagnation from killing us all, but that need not be a global war. Probably will be, but I'm not worried about it. Why worry about something you can't control?

Meh, i'm not so keen on wars, there too random and unprecise... I'd rather have a meteor crash or alien invasion :D...

Then again a populous revolution lead by people i see judging their ways the way they should would be the best but most demanding way. It's fekkin hard trying to convince people these days.

I spent a short while in the Dutch Model European Parlement, and believe me... those are some stubbern fouled up gits our political future holds... Fighting against them while still not endangering the whole is bloody damnwell harder than anything i've tried in my life. And believe me, I've done some pretty buggered stuff throughout my life.

War like such would ofcourse be the first thing to happen -_- after that will follow the revolution.

Btw just a question here, where are you all from?

I'm From western europe and i feel you're all from other continents :P
(Germany, England, Holland those are the three countries i'm connected with straight off :P.)

I'm Canadian, and as such, am a peacekeeper. Can't we just all shake hands and buy eachother a drink? I'm sure God wouldn't mind...

Yeah sure, great idea... for now... but what if there isn't room anymore on the whole planet to even sit down and drinks would cost trice as much as either of us had in our bank... Ok, it's REALLY long term, and i think we'll never get to that doomsday scenario... but if humans knew only peace... that's what we would be looking at...

The biggest problem people seem to forget is that... normal people are just as much a culprit as any other human on this planet... for the crime of overpopulation...
In that case... casualties of war... aren't innocent people being killed... (well they are, but not JUST that) they are just as much criminals as any others... Only in the perspective that everlasting peace is about the worse idea any human could have... besides inventing Money and economy, and voting for bush... (i can think of more bad idea's... but i've told myself 5 times to go to bed and i'm still typing... :P)

I was born in Costa Rica, half-white. moved to my current home Washington state, The things I speak of are from an americans point of view, dont get me wrong I love america, (true america) what its suppose to stand and what it sometimes is.

I just have this feeling that everything will change soon, its too quiet around here.

PS. I just got out of a over 3 year relationship yesterday...(sadness) but I knew inside it just wasnt gonna work. she was leaving for college soon anyway so FUNk it! :bing:

Quiet? Are you kidding? The world is so full of turmoil right now. It's like a pot that's boiling over. If anything, now we've got to clean up the mess. I hate people who hate people just because they're different!

I see no mention of the Flux Capacitor.

There can be no time travel without such a device!

;)

Edit: Damnit Markham. Did you JUST edit your above post to mention the flux capacitor? Or did I just miss it the first time? O_o

Actually time travel doesn't need a flux capacitor its very easy in fact! All you need to do is get a large cylindrical structure(say a ferris wheel) and spin it at the speed of light. depending on which direction you spun time will move forwards or backwards. as you are now bending light! This is...was or will I don't know exactly when I did it really. Confusing mechanics.

This is not a lie seriously its not. Top scientists of temporal physics will agree.

aaah too confusing, better throw ourselves into a wormhole and thats it

read my last post! btw wormholes dont allow even a hint of time travel but you can travel to the future with a black hole but you must have a engine with the ablility to get you out of the gravity. You see when anything that gets sucked into a blackhole experiences time dialation. their experience is seeing themselves immediately being sucked in at regular time speed while everything else is moving at an (seemingly) increased time. Where infact the victim of the blackhole is moving at a speed of time incredibly slow. To a point where once they reach the event horizon they would simply stop to us.

simple.

not flameing just explaining the fundamentals of time travel. but yes you can use wormholes to go from point A to point B without crossing temporal boundries.

You cannot simply spin a cylinder at the speed of light. That is impossible, according to relativity. The faster you spin, the more energy you need to spin it, and to achieve the speed of light, you would need infinite energy, which is impossible.

Also, you couldn't escape the event horizon of a black hole, for the same reason. You would have to be travelling faster than the speed of light, so unless you have the ability to have negative mass, there's no way to do it.

Also, any naturally occurring wormholes that we could find(which would be nearly impossible to locate anyway) would likely be microscopic, so flying through it wouldn't exactly be an option. An artificial wormhole could likely be bigger, but unless you've got a stargate in your basement, that's not really gonna happen either.

Sorry for any bursted bubbles. (I could be wrong, btw, this is just scientific theory at the moment)
