Epic Dreams; complex plotlines

I had a dream last night that was so vivid and complex in plotline that it could have been a movie. One of the most fun dreams I have ever had. Here it is:

I was some sort of space mercenary, hired to kill the commander of this miltary spacecraft, so I flew up in my small space fighter and discreetly entered the massive ship, armed with my trusty laser rifle. The ship was in orbit of a desert planet. I had my ship's autopilot land on the surface of the planet to keep the big vessel's sensors from detecting it, and started on my way through the corridors.

I found the commander on the bridge of his ship along with his senior officers. I was hiding behind a computer panel lining up my shot when alarms and klaxons started going off, red lights blazing. I thought I had been detected until one of the scanner officers said there were multiple intruders inside the engine room. I listened to them talking, wondering how this would affect my mission. Reports started coming in that said the intruders weren't human. I decided that this would only help me, so I started lining up my shot again. That was, until the intruders started tearing through the door behind me. The entire bridgecrew turned to look at the door, seeing me in the process. The commander saw that I was brandishing a gun in his direction, and pulled his own weapon, asking "who the hell are you?" I thought quickly, dropping my gun, saying "I think you've got bigger problems at the moment." He quickly agreed, and I took cover on the other side of the computer panel, waiting for the alien intruders to punch through the door along with the bridgecrew. We all started shooting at them as they tore through the doors, but they worked their way through, attacking us with laser pistols and various bladed weapons. I seized the opportunity and shot the commander, sneaking out the back while the battle raged on the bridge.

I made my way through the corridors once more, but this time the alien intruders made the going more difficult. There was a group of them chasing me, and I knew that if they caught me, they'd eviscerate me. However, I made it to the escape pod bay, and took several elevators down, the aliens chasing me all the way. I made it out, however, and went down to the planet.

The pod had a pre-entered landing sequence, and it took me to the military base on the planet. I got out of the escape pod before they found it, hiding on the base. I got out my tracking system, and it said my ship was about twenty kilometers out into the desert. I went to the motor pool on the base, and found a junior officer to take hostage. I got him to fuel up a jeep at gunpoint, and got him to drive us out of the base without a problem. However, he must have somehow signaled his distress, because in the rear-view mirror I saw a group of tanks following us. I shook my head, killed him, and threw him out of the jeep, taking control of the jeep and gunning the engine. The tanks started firing at me, but luckily none of them hit.

As I drove up towards my ship, I noticed there was a deep chasm between me and my ship. Of course, I couldn't turn back or find a way around, so I sped up and jumped the gorge in the jeep. ;)

I jumped into the cockpit, started the ship and flew away. However, the base had mobilized their squadron of fighters, and I was being chased down by them. I couldn't get into orbit with them firing at me. I noticed on my scanners that there was a city not far away, so I thought I could lose them in the city. We weaved between the buildings, causing hovercar accidents at every turn. several of the enemy ships flew into buildings or large signs, but the main force was still following me. I was getting worried that I wouldn't be able to escape from this situation. Unfortunately, my alarm clock decided to ring at that moment, so I never found out what happened. <_<

Anybody else had a dream with a good plotline?

the things that happen in my dreams aren't ususally conected to each other like that. My dreams are usually fragments of different events...

I've had a few good long plot kind of dream before...the only one I can remember now.

is a dream I had about 2 years ago.

it was all flashes about the same incident.

The dream started with me inside a big tall skyscraper at the top floor in some kind of party. everyone was drinking, I was in a suit..I think I was someone important.

I looked outside the window and everything was dark, black...destroyed. I felt that the building I was in survied somehow. (whatever happened)

then I saw a flash, a nuke had been dropped....it was so real, I really thought that had happened. then, my dream flashes to a panorama of the city, seattle were I live...all black and in flames. then it flashes back to outside the skyscraper I was in...I see a dark figure...next to a blue pond...the pond is frozen, and it has a red rose growing from the center of it.

then im flashed back to Costa Rica, where Iam from...we have a barricade set up all along one of my aunt's house, I realise im in a war...somehow a stand has ended up down in central america..like we've been loosing..or I was deployed to fight in Costa Rica, from america. I saw some friends there, I'am sitting along the barricade which is facing the road. we get a warning that they are coming...3 jeeps and soldiers from from the woods straight ahead of us across the street...we open fire, I fire about half a clip, then come under too much heat, so I hit the deck....my friend gets shot...I see his head just blow to pieces..but in the dream I didnt seemed faced by it...it made me angry..I grabbed something like a bazooka and blew up one of the their jeeps..or bikes..whatever they were. after that it was quiet...I had the sensation that weve been fighting this enemy for about 4-6 years. I felt older in my dream. then after that point I woke up.

this was about 2 years ago.....I always think that this for some reason is a warning (maybe) of what I have coming my way later in my life.

Boy, Spitfire, that sounds like a prophetic dream. Hope you live! ;)

Whenever I have epic dreams, I like to write them down so I'll remember them. They don't happen near as often as I'd like though.

I sometimes dream in 4 dimensions, but I can't even think about it, even if I remember it...if that makes sense. Those ones can never be put into words. Makes my head spin.

....eh ok.....thats just the false acheivement withdrawl from liberal democratic public school teachers that end up passing the dumbest whack jobs on the face of the earth because its "for the children". Dont worry the democratic party is currently in its death throws (you can tell with people like michael more getting more publication than kerry at democratic get togethers) and soon we'll have a non liberal utopia of an american society.

sry for the rant

read and and/or listen to limbaugh!

Foster, that dream is awesome. I have had a few good ones. Most of them involve everyone wanting to kill me, though.

I can remember one of them completely. I have had something similar to this before I had this one.

The area where I live had gotten crappier and crappier, and it was still going downhill. Disease and poverty starting spreading, and people started to look different. Everyone was covered in scabs, and parts of them were rotting. Gross. Only a few people didn't have this. I recognized a lot of people I knew in reality when I went to school in the dream. Just me, one of my friends, and a couple other people I recognized but didn't know were the only people who didn't look like that. I guess this angered the other ones, and they started ganging up on the people without the disease, and killing them by biting them. Me and my friend ran away, and they started chasing me. The weird part was that I recognized the people who were chasing me. I went back to my house (about 2 miles away) and I went into my back yard. They were able to get in the door before I could close it, so I jumped over the fence into the semi-wilderness (my old bitchy neighbor's yard, it's basically a jungle). Me and my friend, who had followed me, were hiding in the bushes. None of them could climb over the fence, because the disease had made them weaker. One of them was able to climb over with the help of others, so I hit him as hard as I could with a tree branch. Then I bashed his head in. Very violent. Another climbed over, and stabbed me with a knife. I felt like I had some weird grinding feeling in my chest, even though it was just a dream. The stab didn't kill me, so my friend kicked the diseased person, and we ran. We just kept running away until they couldn't even see us. Then I remember looking down and seeing blood on my chest, and falling over (I probably didn't die in the dream). Then I woke up scared.

I have had something very similar to this before. I wonder what it is supposed to mean.

Good dream! Isn't it weird that you can feel sensations in dreams that you've never had before? I sometimes dream of getting shot, and it feels like a white-hot stabbing pain. Or I dream of losing a limb or something. Very strange feeling when you wake up :bing:
