Where To Start?; i have flash MX professional

i have flash mx professional.....

basically, im totally lost, all i seem to have in front of me is a timeline, and...well.......basically a paint program.

what i want to make is just a very, very basic flash video, probably with just one person saying something (with my voice as a recording)


where do i start?

That's right ;)

I just started with flash myself, and I highly reccomend following the 'basic flash lessons' that are in the program itself. I followed them and they were very useful to me :)

I hated 'em :D

I started at Cartoon Smart The guy does free flash video tutorials, his tutorials are GREAT! Then once you get better you can buy some.

ahh, cheers guys, great site- downloading the tutorials as i speak.

i also find the help files in flash mx a bugger to understand (damn them big words:D)
