Aside from an about $70 price difference, are they pretty much the same thing? I know Xpress runs within the flash enviornment while v4 doesn't, but do they both have the same options and abilities? I'm very, very interested in purchasing the software after viewing the site thoroughly. Heck, while I'm at it how much of a discount can I pick up one for "educational" purposes? I bought my copy of FlashMX2004 for only $100 at UCLA... |

Swift3D Xpress can only run from within Flash, and is very (and I mean very) limited in what it can do. It's basically for creating simple shapes in Flash with the pencil, line or pen tools, then when you start Swift3D Xpress, it automatically converts that object to a 3D object, allowing you to add some textures, lighting and very simple animation. It is great for making simple spinning or flying logos... but nothing much more complicated than that. |

Thanks, I'll go for the full version then. <(-'v^)> Think collages sell them for discount? |

I guess Xpress is more aimed at webdesigners who want to incorporate some quick and easy 3D in their Flashes. |
