ok this is something I've had since I can ever remember sleeping.

im sure some others have had it too, I will try and explain it the best that I can and see what you guys think about it.

once in a while I will wake up in the middle of sleeping...or if I stay awake with my eyes close and try to go to sleep, I will get this ringing white noise in my ears..as soon as I close my eyes, and its really freaks me out...like i'am going to die if I listen to it for too long...the sound is like a T.V channel that isnt gettin good reception. just noise, as if someone turns that on in my ears and turns up the volume as long as I have my eyes close.

when I've had this happen, I have to kind of play with it, close my eyes real fast and the sound comes back..until it doesnt and I can finally go to sleep in peace..........

well, thats all I can think of, if you ever experienced something like this-plz post or if you know what it is.

yeah its an unbareable high-pitched noise that gets louder and louder..until you open your eyes....then it just goes away after a few minutes of lying there.

You should see a shrink, more likely a psychiatrist. It's probably something that's connected subconsiously in with that noise. We all have our sleeping quirks. Like my sudden awakening. It's like someone slamming a car into my chest, but no pain. Like if i bounced on a trampeline on my back.

I have the exact same feeling soetimes, not a lot, but..sometimes. Once in a month or something. I get the feeling as if something terrible is crawling up my back, I stop braething, I become very warm, more pressure on my head, and then the whispering which gets louder, like thousands of monsters are whispering

terrible feeling

Everytime I try to go to sleep I hear heart-beats. Not mine though. I've checked my pulse and the rate at which the sound is and they're totally different. Sounds like a little Poe to me.

One time, after the night of my school play... I kept on hearing the voices of those who were in the play. They were saying words, but the sentences made no sence. It's as if they were saying nothing, like when you're hearing the voice of someone at the back of the bus... but you're at the front of the bus talking to someone else... I guess. I don't know... ... they were real-ish. Started the whole thing anyway... by hearing one voice. Then I tried to listen then... blah. Whatever. Sleep.

WEEE ARE THE CHAMPIONS, MY FRIENDS!

No, hes not insane, nor should he need a 'shrink.' Lets not call 'em 'shrinks,' my mother was a psychiatrist.
I get that everytime before bed. Its just the absence of noise makes your ears ring as though someone shouted in yoru ears. My ears are doing taht right now. You hear it all the time, you just dont notice it. It is rather disturbing when your tring to sleep though.

sounds like a pure case of barcode eye sight. you should see a doctor, and if not, this could affect your hearing.

I have Tinitis, which is basically a constant version of the noise :P It's nothing fatal, so dont worry, You'll just have to get over how annoying it is :P

AAAaaaa.... I HAD to get that noise right before I slept last night. It was in the middle of the night, and I was playing HL2 and I stopped right after the Ravenholm level. Gah... So many dead people! The white noise you get seems to build on you, then the slightest noises seems likes someone yelled in your ear!

i get similar things to that but during the day because im really senative to high pitched noises . i can here things like air escaping out of a seal when the seal is moist and i can here a t.v. going even if its mute. having senative has pluses though because i can hear if people are sneaking up on me or not.

i have something kinda like that....it doesnt happen only when my eyes are closed....it happens whenever im kinda spaced out and theres almost no noise i can here....it just slowly fades in the less noise i hear....and its kinda low....yeah probably just what your talkin bout ;) ....i like listening to it personally...i usually sit on the crapper for a while and just listen to it at like 3 in the morning...cus thats when i hear the least :bing:
edit: actually....when there is no sound around me...i can control the noise..i can make it louder or softer...all i have to do is focus on it and it gets louder...it sounds really neat i think....am i alone here? :yfok: am i the only one who likes the noise?

those heartbeats is most likely to be the blood that is pumped to your head.

do you hear them like dull footsteps in your ear?

Basically it is just like....thump.....thump.....thump.....thump

I am used to it..doesn't bother me or anything I thought I would just bring it up.
