Iam still trying to find a way to make my own style. To tell you the truth. I think this looks really crappy. I just dont like drawing like this. To easy and kinda not me. Meh. Iam just happy that I can draw to begin with. Iam so blue. Iam for ever looking for my style.

Don't worry too much about your style, it will develop naturally over time ;)

As someone who was worried about getting his own style not long ago, I can need to say I concur with Rubber 100%.
Just draw, draw, draw draw draw. And never get stuck in a style. Try line art and black and white. Cell shading and soft shading.... etc.

Obviously, my own style isn't completely original. But hey, at least I try to vary who I rip off

Well, haven't been here for a long while. Got 2 things i've done so far at school.

#1... My history teacher. The class I do all my drawing and am failing because of it :P

And a dragon i'm working on. It's horribly done, first dragon i've ever drawn. Don't know how to do the feet, the scales, the wings, or nothing is proportional or is in the place it should be. Like the tail things on his neck supposed to be on the top mid.. yea.... Any advice on this?

Hey there, dawhat. The dragon looks great, especially the mouth. I'm no expert on dragons, but I have a couple of little suggestions. Dragons don't really have a "right way" to look, which is what is cool about them, but they are perceived as big lizards. In that case, you might want to raise the eyes on those bulge-thingies (don't know the right word). Also, I suggest more bat-like wings, since those seem to be popular. Here are a couple quick sketches, and I hope they help! :D

Oh, btw, I like your teacher drawing. Haha, that guy looks like a huge tool

Bussman: Haha, that bird is sa-weeet! I agree with you that he isn't the most brilliant thing, but he is pretty cool looking. Lol, it looks like he wants a hug. ;)

man i just got ur pic now? i didnt know whaddahell it was. but i can see the big cloaked figure now. (or is it an elephant?)

anyways, i think u should redo the pic so its just him on his own, and define the main lines more and develop this piece. u have a nice style going on here mate, sorta like Quentin Blake (the illustrator for Roald Dahls books) definately clean it up and make it in flash or PS. looks cool man.

HaH! Iluvit!
The green eyes make that menacing look even more menacing. Nice!

Only crit I have is mebbe more of a suggestion than anything... the paw closest to us could be slightly larger than the further one. Might give it a bit more depth if you take advantage of foreshortening techniques like that.
If you want to get fussy with proportion and perspective then get a bit more fussy with the feet.

Other than that it's great. Good balance and weight, cool pose and a pretty awesome character. Nice work!

btw, sucks that you can't register Sketchbook. Ain't that just the suhweetest bit of software?

Argh, damn you! I was going to post a robot! Yours even has some of the same features as mine.
Good job, Gnort.

Shading inspiration taken from ninjai. I think that's the style I'll stick to for my animations from now on, especially now that flash 8 can handle it.

Heh, you snooze you lose

Your's looks pretty good aswell. The only thing i can think of is that the shape of his legs is kind of confusing--It's hard to tell where they are pointing.
