Still... I'm happy with it to this point. Now to do a model sheet and then get her into a walk cycle.

Got a question about the forum? PM me! :)
Great characters Com! The top-left is a little plain, but the small 'oh' mouth works well. The top-right is a little bleh, her pose is under-whelming. And what the hell is going on with her arm? O.o I love the bottom-left one, very brutish :D You got the brawd chest and shoulders, the heavry brow aswell, everything you need for a good neanderthal :P He's even holding a stick  The bottom-right is also very good. Her perona is clear as soon as you see her, very well-kept and superior. Bascially a self-absored bitch. one thing though, why is she holding a wacom pen? :fpbls: Her ear seems a little low, but apart from that great. I love all fo your characters, so varied ^_^

Early rough designs of a new character, with Coldecott included for comparison..

Tried to balance out tooniness between them - e.g., Coldy has large round eyes, unattached eyebrows, and no toes, whilst X088 has a long neck and impossibly curved limbs...

Still trying to get the hang of proportions... etc.

And just for fun:

well actually dosent that shadow fit?

I mean the light is the top left and the shadow is to the right to Lucky, so dosent that work??? (im not positive so im just throwing that out there [ im a noob to all the arty terms] )

*edit commie, those lines look super smooth, were you zoomed in close in sketchbook?. And also do you like go for basic forms first (balls and what-nots) and then evolve or just straight into the piece

yeh it wud looks right if that line wasn't goin through it.if thats supposed to be a floor line the shadow would kinda break off.

bah! i won't go into that.

Yeh, but it's all about digital nowadays. I agree that some good ol' graphite marks on papyrus is practice we shud all take part in on a regular basis, but drawing digitally is so way different that it requires equal, if not more, quality time.
I dunno... just my two cents but I sat down last night with some paper and pencil and did what I thought were some not bad feminine hands in differnt positions. . . think I could recreate that with my Wacom? :yfok: :P

Cole: that is so friggin' cool! Nice stuff and an xlent pose.

Tyler: nice characters. They're really evolving well!

Com: as usual I'm wowed. I like 'em all. I've also been watching your vid over n' over again (the one with the bald girl head). Great example of what practice can do for ya. You obviously know your way around your drawing software. Very cool, bro!

The drop shadow makes lim look like he does not in fact have one leg forward, but just a small leg and a large leg. also the shading on the front leg needs to differ from the back leg to show definition between the distances.

Hope it helped in some distant manner ;)

Yeh, I agree 'bout the drop shadow... woulda had better effect if you'd manually added a shadow(s) to help define depth and the fact that he's not floating in space.

I still like it tho. B)

Tried somemore sketches of girly hands in Sketchbook... meh...

i drew this today in german class because the teacher didn't want me drawing intricately on the desk anymore.

once i drew something on my desk and the next day the teacher said "i wish you would have drawn that on paper. it's really good." :)
