They're utterly beautiful, excellent shading. All I can say is to get yourself some real models. Photo's are okay for practice, but there is something about interpreting a 3D figure in front of you that is cognitively much more demanding (at least for me). The nude looks especially good; the crease in the waist looks very natural and pleasing.

I dont know how you managed to upload the image on the invisionfree server, but I upload my images at www.imageshack.us
Then you can post 5 images, wich is the maximum for the post .

And great drawing bytheway=)
I like the character design, And the way you designed the muscles..

Oh, a candle on his sholder ey? Good when its dark, But he should be careful running around, or else the fire will blow out.

Yep, there's some pretty exceptional work in this thread.

Com - absolutely beautiful, can hardly fault your drawings at all. I'd love to see a more detailed picture of the portraits.

Colesif - Good sense of style, good proportioning. If anything, a bit more variation on the light and shade.

Here a quick sketch I made in flash whilst preparing my phonebooth entry.

Yeah. I noticed the leg to.
The thing is, I forgot to buy an eraser, so whats drawn is drawn ^^

And the traditional sketches was taken by a vcr camera, so the angle I took them in may "skev" them in away. But thats no excuse.. I now I need to practice life drawings more..

thanx for the crits

Very smooth, cole. Try incorporating a faint blue, purple, or green into the shadows. Comlock does this pretty well, so go look at his work.

Those characters are based on Mark Ryden's style, actually. He's kinda disturbing in a Burtonish way.

Cliff? Don't you mean Tim? ^^

Looks nice Colesif, but you could try to use coloured shading like Ang said. And maby increase the contrast more between light and dark. Her breasts seem a bit squezed together, and are placed to high up. And here upper body needs to be a bit wider I think, so she wouldent get this cylindershape..

Looks like people will always remember you from that quote on skype espen ^^
We like you to :wbitey:

Those characters looks awesome Ang. very funny and intresting style.
I like the poses.. And that skeleton.. I like the bend on his legs.
wouldent he's right leg be a bit short if he tried to stand up straight? I still like the bended legs though.

Whoops. Yes, in fact, he would. Thank god I was being graded on silhouette value and not proportions.

Latest sketches

I've got more of those actually, didn't care to scan 'em all in. I took Anghenfil's advice on quickly sketching moving figures etc and some of them are on the picture too.

Let me know what you think and maybe some crits too? Thanks.

I took Anghenfil's advice on quickly sketching moving figures etc and some of them are on the picture too.

It's good that you're attempting the moving figures (really, that's an accomplishment in of itself), but you need to loosen WAAAY up. You're only drawing the contour (outline) of the figure, which means you're not getting any of the interesting major muscles, ribcage, pelvis, shoulder blades or spine. You don't need to get everything, but you need a good approximation, and you should know the position of each just from looking at the picture.

You can draw all the details from memory. This is why knowing lots of anatomy is essential.

Notice how much I draw within the figure. Ideally, you should draw a line of action before you draw (which I usually don't do, because I'm a bad little girl).

Jeez, I need to get myself along to some life drawing classes, my proportions suck the big one.

Anghenfil - you look like you are gaining some expert training there - your drawing's are full of energy. I love the prismacolour drawings, they arfe wonderful. My wife uses prismacolour in a totally different way. It's good to see it used so well.

I just had ny first go of Sketchbook pro, and this is my first drawing.
