Megabyte is commonly abbreviated as MB (not to be confused with Mb or mb, which is used for megabits), and sometimes as meg.

Well, shit me for not capitalizing the goddamn B, okay? 12 Megabytes per second. Christ.

That picture is absolutly brilliant. The mood, colours, perspective, the level of detail you put on the moon, everything...
The only thing that bothers me is that the composition is a bit empty on the left side

Nice for paint Sneak, just keep practicing. I like the hairs on the first, your contrasting well. I cant crit much on the second, becuase you know, i dont know much about Dinosaurs.

Nice sketches RK. You might want to tone up on anatomy and pose. Your faces look good. But you notice most of the extremities you made are just flat. Try adding some folds and muscle contours to give it depth. If you going for manga sytle i found the best way to make my sketches where just the rudimentry circles and sqaures. Keep at it.

I doodled this in Political Science class today. I have to debate Social security prvitalization reform..... woopi.

I think the only reason i really care about this pic is the shading. But whats funny is it was first a page for japanese notes (Thus the Su momo momo momomomomo japanese tongue twister in the top right) Then proving how ridiculus it would be to wield large sized weapons in real life to a friend. I atempted to draw a example and then inked it with a zig pen during my poly sci lecture. Why the crap cant i draw when i mean to? Lol

Love the armor and swords, but the pose is ugly. Oog-ly. Have him doing something... facing down a monster, leaping, slashing, ANYTHING. I know all too well the temptation to stick with static poses, but they're very boring and don't look natural, especially someone as top-heavy as that with his legs together.

Edit: Just to make sure you know, I REALLY love that armor. Yowza.

Thanks for the quick rabbit like reflexes you have when responding to my stuff. Your my favorite (if not only :P ) critic! Im glad you like the armor.

I lurrrrrv armor, its the one thing i can draw and have fun and never stress out :D

But i cant go and be boring and draw just that! no no no.

Bah, i had this sweet drawing... i made the body comp for like 2 months back. I thought it looked sweet. It was a dude crouched behind a bar with bullets whizzing overhead breaking bottles and the lot.... i shoved it in my scrap pile.... where the hell did it go..

Shit, you know this will haunt me all this month dont you!!! :gasp:

Ah well, ide probably find it and then find out it wasnt nearly as cool as a remeber it. Ill just draw it again.... maybe.... im still inbetween casting for the indy film. Wish me luck becuase everyone who has tried out for the main role hasnt met standard yet! :wbitey:

But, regarding dynamic poses. Have another drawing.

Yesh, there are kinks to work out in the anatomy, like arm consistency and torso shaping. But hey, hes posing, take a picture, it lasts longer!!

He gonna probably hold two gigantic black obsidian axes.... mmmm.... dreamy.

Much better. It has a lot of energy and anticipation. Experiment with pushing it even further: A person could "pose" and hold that position, even though it's dynamic enough for an illustrator's purposes. Try to capture an instant, when he's off-balance and couldn't possibly stay in such a position. It will test you and make you a better artist.

The anatomy is minor; the arms are too short for that torso, though it didn't leap out and bite me as being off. Also, the torso itself reads as being squat. There's nothing really wrong with that, as torso's do vary from individual to individual, but be aware that women tend to have short torso's and men tend to have longer ones. Some other stuff is off, but it almost reads like a stylistic choice, so I'll leave it alone for now. I don't know what else to say... very nice work.

This is streamline, back to back posts in under 20 minutes. But alas, after this i must retire to bed... for i take my driving license test tomarrow.... urk.

Its funny you mention energy and gesture becuase i have a very brilliant water coloring teacher who is positivly crazy. He was trying to drill in the term of "gesture" for the class. Insomuch that he would flail around on a art table for the class. And the guy has to be late 50's maybe even 60. Hes brilliant and now im definatly gonna sign up for his drawing class.

I touched him up by tweaking the arms thickness, shape and length, as well as making the torso a bit more narrow. As a result he came out a bit more athlectic than the first render. No matter, i prefer to work with athletic actually.

*sigh* I barley have time to draw anymore. Im just finishing homework and its 1 am. I have to draw in class most of the time. And when i do i get the "Why the hell are you drawing naked peope???"

And really just tempted to look them dead in the eye and say "Becuase naked people get me off, and drawing them is what turns me on. And yes, drawing male figures makes me gay. Yes... yes it does" But then again, ide rather just keep drawing then yell at those kinds of people.

seal, you cleary don't have real knowledge of anatomy, especially in the arms, neither do you with heads,i can already see it in the construction lines for the face.

but,its not the lack of anatomy knowledge you should worry about, its the proportions.

Overall its a nice attempt and shows allota promise,i'm only pointing these things out cos its reminding me of the mistakes i made.

keep it up!

*oh,and go download the loomis books i posted on the last page or so.* :D

Omg. My first real post in the Daily Sketch Thread.

Red letter day. ;)

Ok guys, here are some more doodles, Andrew Loomis style.

After the first two I slapped a piece of drawing paper over my tablet. Friction is good. :)

I know they're not great, but I'm trying... And I think I'm improving.

I think. :P

As usual, let me know what you think.
