Commie . .. . What can i say, out-done yourself again!!!

Few comments and concerns . . .

1. What type of blue pencils are those that you used? and where can I find them.

2. Beautiful life drawings you have there, mind showing me where you got the refs from?

3. The random character sketches are price-less! They are so original and dynamic

I hope that when you get your computer back, and re-break that ol Wacom back in, that you turn out masterpieces worthy of god!!!

And I Mean IT!!!!!

Bruce, why is your Bitey darwing called Earthwormjim? :gasp:

lol :D

the first thing i ever scanned i named the pic as earthwormjim

now whenever i scan something it calls itself that name

unless i can bother to change it

com you have very clean lines, and I would love to see some off your work in its original size, so i could see your shading technique and line work a bit closer!

Ive never drawn live nudes before anyway. And yes, Ive heard it a lot now.
Especially u ^^

Bussman: thanx. I resently bought the pencils. Ive never tried them before.
And they are so great to draw with. The lines doesent smush out as easily as with regular pencils.

I bought them at

Aha. I see the legs in the mirror now. They realy do need some change dont they =o
I guess that one is out of the portofolio then^^

Bruce: Here are the highres:
Lifedrawing - highres
Character poses - highres
Chracter faces - highres
(I dont have a scanner. Sorry)

i also tried to start drawing bugs bunny, but I didnt think it looked that much like him. So I stoped after 4 heads.

Bitey's legs are stylized nicely, but they don't really look like animal legs anymore. The hooves are blobby, the knees are twisted a little unnaturally, and the ankle seems to fuse into the knee. Not to knock poor Arthur, his work overall is very strong, but the legs don't look very effectual. I love the cuteness overall, though. :)

A "dynamic" pose just means that the figure isn't straight, immobile, or boring. A dynamic pose should be interesting to look at and convey energy. And a dynamic pose will have a strong line of action.

I'm using Comlock's character sheet because I thought he did a really great job here. The ones I think have very strong lines of action are red, the ones that could have used a little more flex on the torso or a limb pulled out further from the body I've done in green, and his least strong are in blue. I was not focusing on character, performance, or design, just what I saw as having a strong pose.

Notice how most of the red figures are lots of diagonal, expansive, crossing lines. Too much can be visually overwhelming and thus weaker, but Comlock has done a great job on controlling the silhouettes to the strongest shapes. Arcs and S-curves are stronger than straight lines.

haha, very nice job comlock, you got the rich and evil thing down perfectly :P but i'm afraid you have to be smart to be rich and evil... and bingbong's got the mind of a child... ;) so he's got a better imagination but worse anylitical powers. keep up the good work though! :D

a while ago, on i love the 80's or something, a member of devo was commenting on weird al's "dare to be stupid" music video. he said that he absolutley hated weird al because he had made a better devo song than devo ever could. so i must say to you, arthur: i really, really hate you. how dare you make me cry at my pitiful, pitiful drawings compared to yours. you have truley shattered my spirits. damn you! ;)

Crits? Comments?

How come no one notice Bussman attempt with muscle development.

Looks ok but a lot of things are way off. When I try working on muscle. I go for easy stance because iam still a noobie when it come to human drawing. With the body parts and ect ect. I like the way how you made his side rib muscle and holding up his shield. The rest needs a redo. I wish i can give futher comments and crits but lets hear from the other more well known members in the forum.

Well come on every one and crit Bussman sketch!
